James Camerons groundbreaking 1984 science fiction cult classic The Terminator is returning to cinemas from June 14th, nearly three weeks before the release of the new instalment in the franchise, Terminator Genisys. The movie which started the whole franchise was written by James Cameron and William Wisher JR., and directed by James Cameron. Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as a deadly cyborg sent back in time from a post apocalyptic future to terminate the woman whose unborn son would lead the human race to victory against the genocidial machines, The Terminator was recognized for its influence on cinema and for its cult status when it was preserved within the American National Fim Registry for being deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".
