Los Angeles, CA — February 2026 — Creative Licensing, under license from STUDIOCANAL, partnered with Reef Entertainment to develop Terminator 2D: No Fate — the officially licensed video game adaptation.
This partnership marks another expansion of the original films into interactive entertainment, bringing the franchise’s signature action, atmosphere, and futuristic storytelling to gamers worldwide. A run and gun style game featuring pixel art, like the 16-bit era, Reef Entertainment delivered an immersive and authentic experience that fans describe as “the incredible video game adaption Terminator 2 always deserved.”

Critics also responded positively to the game’s release, as noted in a recent review from Kotaku, “Terminator 2D: No Fate is not only a stellar video game adaptation of the movie; it also immediately distinguishes itself as one of the best arcade-style run-and-gun shooters of all time.”
Player reception echoed that enthusiasm. On Steam, Terminator 2D: No Fate earned a 9 out of 10 rating, based on more than 1,200 user reviews, reflecting widespread praise for its gameplay, presentation, and respect for the franchise.
Creative Licensing, a long-standing representative of the original Terminator franchise, facilitated the partnership and continues to oversee licensing strategy and brand stewardship for the franchise. “This collaboration represents an exciting evolution for The Terminator franchise,” said Stephanie Kuperman, COO, Creative Licensing Corporation, “Reef Entertainment identified a need in the market and overdelivered on a thoughtful, authentic game that speaks to the hearts of both longtime fans and new audiences.”
First introduced in 1984, The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgement is a globally recognized science fiction franchise known for its groundbreaking storytelling, iconic characters, and exploration of humanity’s relationship with technology. The franchise spans feature films, publishing, and interactive media.
