Supernatural, starring Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Mark Sheppard and Misha Collins, was recently renewed for its tenth season, With Sheppard and Collins being promoted to series regulars. The show follows the misadventures of the Winchester brothers Sam and Dean, whom travel across America in Dean's black Chevrolet Impala hunting demons and other mythological and supernatural beings.

In the UK the show has a huge and loyal following despite the show having been dumped twice by UK broadcasters; the show was first dropped by terrestrial digital channel ITV2 after the conclusion of season four, and then again after the conclusion of season eight by satellite channel Sky Living. But thankfully, according to a tweet from one of the shows cast, it seems that the ninth season will be aired on UK TV channel E4 next month after a lengthy campaign from fans on the popular social network...

While some hardcore fans may have already seen the ninth series illegally, many fans ask that they rewatch the series when it is aired to encourage the British network to continue airing the hit show for the foreseeable future. Season nine of Supernatural deals with the fallout of Deans decision to stop his brother Sam from completing the trials which would have ended his life, as Metatron (Curtis Armstrong) evicted all of the angels from heaven sending them crashing down to Earth. The series also sees the return of Kevin Tran (Osric Chau) and introduces new character Eekiel/Gadreel (Battlestar Galactica's Tahmoh Penikett).
