Sony have faced some tough criticism of a few of their most recent Spider-Man: Homecoming posters, many of which claiming the feel of the film looks more like an Iron Man film, with Spider-Man being a mere supporting character. The emphasis on Iron Man does not seem to be as overbearing in the trailers, so naturally the posters heavily featuring Iron Man caused a little confusion. Following the backlash, Sony have since released a couple new poster variants for Homecoming, but again they insinuate a very prominent Iron Man presence. Of course, we know Iron Man plays a pivotal role in this Spider-Man's development, but the consensus of disappointment seems to be in regards to the fear that the film will have a higher emphasis on Iron Man over Peter Parker and his evolution as Spider-Man.
