Blade Runner 2 is expected to begin principal photography next summer and it has now been confirmed that 12-time Oscar-nominated cinematographer Roger Deakins has been hired on as the film's cinematographer, according to a new report by TheWrap.
Ridley Scott, who directed the original Blade Runner will unfortunately not be directing the sequel, however he will be one of the film's producers. Harrison Ford will also return to the role of Rick Deckard, which he played in the original. Ryan Gosling is also in-talks to star as a lead. Besides those few details, little is known about this high-profile sci-fi sequel. As new details are released, we'll be sure to keep you updated.
