Blade Runner 2099 – the upcoming TV series developed for Amazon's Prime Video streaming service will act as a direct sequel to Denis Villeneuve's Blade Runner 2049 movie from 2017 which starred Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford! The series which has been in development since 2022 has finally been given a release date window: 2026!
Headed by showrunner Silka Luisa, the first two episodes have been directed by Jonathan van Tulleken, who also serves as executive producer on the show, with Steven Johnson on board as co-executuve producer. The show will feature a cast including:

- Dimitri Abold
- Lewis Gribben
- Katelyn Rose Downey
- Daniel Rigby
- Johnny Harris
- Amy Lennox
- Sheila Atim
- Matthew Needham
- Burke
- Lombardi
While a specific date in 2026 remains to be ironed out, we know the series will at least drop on Prime sometime next year for sure. As new details arise, we will keep you updated!
