Let's cut to the chase. This was one badass Super Bowl commercial, and the expectations were high considering Independence Day's first teaser trailer came out during Super Bowl 1995. Watch the trailer below.
We got to see some brand new footage of some gravity (Superman Returns?) technology that is just smashing cities against cities. Gotta give Roland Emmerich some credit for coming up with a new way to destroy cities. The gravity smashing weapon is very similar to the technology seen destroying an unknown city in the very first stock art released back this past June.
