Four new Independence Day: Resurgence movie stills have hit the web along with a rather chilling new TV Spot entitled Bigger than the Last One. As you can imagine, the new commercial emphasises the Aliens' return to Earth. We also get an extended look at President Whitmore offering himself up to one of the captive ETs in order to sync minds and gain insight to the Aliens' new invasion.
First up though are the four exciting new movie stills, courtesy of Empire Magazine! The first two are brand new, featuring the world's new leader played by Sea ward seemingly confronting one of the Aliens, with security having their guns and flashlights drawn. Perhaps this scene is near the end of the film and the President's bunker has been breached by the Aliens? Or perhaps they're meeting to attempt to call a truce? We're not entirely sure.
Next up, we have an awesome new image of the classic ID4 Alien, in its bio-suit, behind a glass enclosure. This is the scene in which Bill Pullman's character, the former President Whitmore enters the chamber to sync minds with the Alien. It's great to see that Roland Emmerich chose to keep the classic design for these Aliens. Seeing this image will give you a rush of nostalgia and a rush of excitement for the Resurgence next month!
Following the above two images are two more, though not necessarily "new", but brightened versions of cut-scenes seen in previous Independence Day: Resurgence trailers and TV spots.
Finally, the new TV spot! Featuring a creepy overlay, and a few new cut-scenes, this is definitely one of the more eerie trailers we've seen for Independence Day: Resurgence. Check it out below and let us know what you think in the comments section!
