After nearly 14 years The X-files will be returning to the small screen with the all new revival mini-series which airs January 24th on US TV network FOX. Heralding the reuturn of stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson the six part series which will feature all new episodes that will both explore the legendary shows grand mythology while also giving fans a new selection of monster-of-the-week episodes, of which the show became famous for.
The 10th televised season will also see the return of Assistant Director Walter Skinner (Mitch Pileggi), Special Agent Monica Reyes (Annabeth Gish), The Smoking Man (William B. Davis) and the Lone Gunmen.

Ryan Coogler (Sinners, Black Panther, Creed) is rebooting The X-Files for Disney and 20th Century Studios. While specifics about the reboot remain shrouded in secrecy, it's rumored that David Duchovny (Fox Mulder) and Gillian Anderson (Dana Scully) will be making a return and reprising their iconic roles for the new series.
