What do DC's TV show Arrow, Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight, Captain America: The Winter Soldeier and disaster movie 2012 have in common? Chin Han. Director of next summer's Independence Day 2, Roland Emmerich announced today that renowned actor Chin Han will be joining the incredible cast of the Independence Day sequel! The news of Han's involvement also comes with a new set photo featuring both Han and Emmerich on-set, where the film is currently being shot in New Mexico.

Han is the second star from the popular Dark Knight trilogy by Christopher Nolan, following William Fichtner's addition which was announced last week! Unlike Fichtner however, we don't know what role Chin will be playing in Independence Day 2, but once we know, we'll be sure to update this post! Fichtner will be playing a Top General and from what sources claim, he won't be dying in Independence Day 2... or Independence Day 3. That's right, not one, but three sequels are apparently planned for the popular sci-fi franchise, making Independence Day a quadrilogy over the course of the next 10 years or so.
