Production is about to ramp back up on the upcoming Avatar sequels next week as the studio and crew migrate their work to New Zealand! The Avatar sequels were one of many Hollywood productions which were forced to halt as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. Thankfully, New Zealand seems to offer a safer environment for workers so production may continue!
According to a fresh report from Variety, sourcing an Instagram post from Avatar sequel producer Jon Landau, sets are ready for filming next week. He even shared a photo of two new ships, one called the Matador and the other named the Picador, check it out:

Check out the Matador, a high speed forward command vessel (bottom) and the Picador jetboat (top) — can’t wait to share more.
Avatar 2 is slated for a December 17th, 2021 release date.
