Talk about marketing the sequels to Avatar. Director James Cameron is developing a Avatar live stage show with Cirque De Soleil. President and CEO of Cirque De Soleil announced the details regarding the show, which will debut in 2015, before the first of three announced Avatar films. Cameron is currently busy working on the sequels, planning to shoot back to back.
"Avatar remains a phenomenon that continues to inspire people around the globe, and combining it with the live event ingenuity of Cirque de Soleil is a perfect synthesis of imagination and talent," said Jim Gianopulos, 20th Century Fox's chief, in a statement.
Jon Landau (Lightstorm Entertainment), the financier and distributor of 'Avatar', which grossed $2.7 billion worldwide will be acting as a partner on the live show.
