Of course we will never get to know what happened to David and all those embryos .. a 2nd time fans are let down .. good job disney ..
Ridley Scott went to Disney, farted , pouted, said he made them and many millions and that he won't allow another Ripleys story arc ... screw the fans , I'm still sore from Cameron overtaking my masterpiece .. you all allowed this to happen... no fans get together anymore and demand what the fans want so we have no say..

"Final report of the commercial starship Nostromo, third officer reporting. The other members of the crew - Kane, Lambert, Parker, Brett, Ash, and Captain Dallas - are dead. Cargo and ship destroyed. I should reach the frontier in about six weeks. With a little luck, the network will pick me up. This is Ripley, last survivor of the Nostromo, signing off," Warrant Officer Ellen Ripley, ALIEN (1979)

We Exif have been wandering through space as vagrants far longer than Earthlings have, and we've witnessed many civilizations destroyed. Many have been regretfully destroyed by creatures similar to Godzilla. He is the punishing iron hammer for the arrogant. For the species who pronounce themselves as lords of creation, a divine avenger will pay them a visit.

"Boy that's a real laugh. Godzilla needs to be studied. He's a gold mine of knowledge. But you couldn't care less! You just want to kill him before we can fully analyze him."

"And when, still calling to each other, one of them fell at last into the molten lava stream, the other still refused to save itself. Last of its kind, blasters of the air and Earth, strongest, swiftest creatures that ever breathed, now they sank against the Earth like weary children. Each had refused to live without the other, and so they were dying together. I wondered whether I, a twentieth-century man, could ever hope to die as well."

I don't think you understand what people mean by woke.
Ripley being female isn't woke, because who she is isn't defined by the fact she is a woman. At her core, Ripley is a gender neutral character, written to be played by either a man or a woman.
Then comes the second movie, men and women both serving the military is good feminism because both genders are equals. This again isn't wokeism.
What is woke is stating or depicting all men are all evil perverted idiots and women are superior, this is woke.
Ripley never had flaunt that she was a woman, so Ripley was never woke. Dietrich, Vasquez, or Ferro, neither of these Colonial Marine women had to remind the audience that they are female they just are; so they weren't woke.
Lets take the recent example of wokeness from MARVEL, INO-She-Hulk, "I get angry and filled with rage, not because I had suffered a tragic back story or lost a love one or anything, NOPE because men exist and they are annoying!" THIS IS WOKE.
Well I know human villians are important part of the franchise but the BIG V is supposed to be the xenomorphs because they are the larger threat since humanity doesn't know well enough to leave these guys alone
Woke nonsense? Political messages have always been a part of the franchise, no matter if you like it or not. Weyland Yutani has been used as a symbol for corporations and their power, feminism as Ripley in a lead female role, for example. It's a bit too late to complain about that.
I rather have it woke if that means some progressive ideas here and there than some - corporations are fine, long live our military kind of thing. Corporate propaganda is everywhere, so at least keep it out of the alien-movies.
Xenotaris: You said something about replacing the monsters with human antagonists. You can have both, in the form of A) Xeno-ish monsters and B) Human antagonists, corporate types, since they have been an important part in the franchise since day one.
My fear exactly, Marvel is taking credit for all the things Dark Horse Comic had done years prior.

Egg morphing sounds very bug-like thing to do too, just less ants, bees, and termites and more like a carpenter wasp. Congratulations, you traded one bug-like feature for another.
can you improve on your english a little because I did not understand what you just said? How are Burke and Weyland-Yutani xenomorphs?
Welcome back to the boards ninXeno426! Gripe away my friend, we're all getting old around here hahaha
I concur I have my reservations of excitement for this new Alien film but not for the director or the cast being of a younger generation - but for the simple fact that it's 2023 and every movie coming out lately has been a regurgitation of the same woke tropes stuffed into ever crevasse of a movie's plot. The agenda pushing has become nauseating and I'm concerned Alien will fall prey to its influence like so many other great franchises.
I was actually pretty skeptical on Prey when it was early in production - I had many doubts and ended up being pleasantly surprised and satisfied by the film when it came out. I'm praying Romulus surprises me in the same way. With Ridley Scott attached to produce I'm sure he'll kibosh any nonsense that detracts too heavily from the flick itself given that he holds the Alien franchise pretty close to his heart (and ego).
Hopefully with a more in depth plot synopsis in the coming months we can get a better idea of what the film will be like. But in the meantime, by all means keep griping hahaha.
I hope it's not a slasher flick like those you mentioned, although I definitely think Fede Alvarez is trying to bring the franchise closer to its roots - a small group of people trapped on a ship or world with a single Xenomorph picking them off one by one. It's the blueprint for an Alien movie the only difference is having it be a younger generation rather than adults. It is Disney after all... my biggest fear is that they pepper in some woke nonsense that detracts from the film's plot and momentum like so many films do nowadays.
Maybe introducing the queen, it makes them too close to bees, ants, and so on. I prefer egg-morphing since it's less known. Not too sure about the ridged dome either, I prefer to keep it simple.
I hope that it will be better than what we have been given starting with AR, but with Disney I'm not sure. Hopefully they will have it rated R, with characters to give a damn about and interesting monsters. Keep the monsters in the shadow, it works better that way. Not a comic guy, but I kind of understand that with the situation right now. Marvel being owned by Disney, right? Disney doing an average job with the Star Wars movies, I'm not so sure about the future of the franchise, although Scott and Fox didn't do too well.
Xenotaris: It can have both, the movies have already had that. Burke working or WY, and some of them in Alien 3.
“Kiss, you guys.”

So this is basically going to be Scream/I know what you did Last Summer/Friday 13th/Halloween in Space?
ALIEN was so much more than a slasher flick! ALIENS showed that and to a lesser extent so did Prometheus and even to a lesser extent Alien Resurrection
wait Marvel is no longer doing the alien or predator comics?

"Shit happens" City Hunter, PREDATOR 2 (1990)
Agreed brother. The only plus side on the comic front right now is that Alien and Predator are being removed from Marvel and given their own brand? It's weird and only time will tell if they get any better. At least Salvador Larroca is off the art.
Cool Godzilla You are welcome. Now a praetorian has yet to appear in the movies, (unless we count the Predalien from AVPR) they were originally were exclusive to the AVP video games before appearing showing up in one of the last ALIEN comics from Dark Horse Comics.
I feel the same. The Alien comics have been a disaster under Marvel's writing and artist team. I hope one day Disney sells the ALIEN franchise off to another movie company and hopefully it can be out of Marvel's reach forever... and back into Dark Horse's hands.
You messed up on Star Trek and 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto were never in the 1960s Star Trek nor ever worked with Gene Roddenberry, that would be William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy.

Well that was a fun little survey. Not gonna lie some of those questions definitely had me stumped, just for the fact that I could only could pick 3, but I like that, makes ya really think about what films you'd pick.
