For as long as they promote gambling
The movie you are describing is "Spectral" (2016), a science fiction action film directed by Nic Mathieu. The story follows a scientist and his team who create advanced goggles that allow the wearer to see spectral beings invisible to the naked eye. The military uses the goggles to investigate a series of strange events in a war-torn city in Eastern Europe. The inventor is called in to help when the military discovers that the spectral beings are actually a form of weaponized energy created by a power plant in the area. The inventor and the military team up to stop the beings and uncover the truth behind their creation.

“Didn’t you sense it at the nuclear plant? When Godzilla was defeated at Oto Island thirty years ago, it became a monster of legend. When the world becomes unbalanced, natural disasters occur and even monsters appear. We’ve seen this the world over, in different mythologies.”

Comparison stats and charts have been updated. I didn't do that yesterday.
I'm for strong female characters. Ellen Ripley should be the blueprint of what makes a strong female character done right.
Yeah what he said^
"And He asked him, 'What is thy name?' And he answered, saying, 'My name is Legion, for we are many."
(Hanatani)
Gamera 2: Attack of Legion
Its genre is more of a stealth game then a true FPS
My "woke" concerns have less to do with forced gender roles and more to do with irrelevant pandering or virtue signaling. Alien has always been one of the pioneers for paving the way for strong female lead characters and I love it - there's also something to be said for the significance of the female aspect, life and creation that remaind a prevalent undertone throughout the Alien saga.
No, I'm all for strong, badass, female leads. What I don't need from an Alien movie are unrealistic / forced / irrelevant romantic back stories if they lend nothing to the development of the plot. Filler content for the sake of appeasing a minority of viewers. Evil corporations are fine - albeit more of an actual issue to be explored.
That's all, I just hope the Alien film is an Alien film and not another franchise poisoned by forced indoctrination to an ideology not everyone agrees with.

-Lumpy, King Kong (2005)
"Kong's a pretty good king. Keeps to himself, mostly. This is his home, we're just guests. But you don't go into someone's house and start dropping bombs, unless you're picking a fight."

"Kong's god on the island, but the devils live below us."
-Hank Marlow, Kong: Skull Island
The game features immersive gameplay that emphasizes survival and trickery. The player must navigate the environments stealthily and use their ingenuity to evade the alien and other dangers lurking.
Very good game. Atmosphere very faithful to the film and scary. Not a classic FPS In the sense that we are generally prey and it's more about surviving than winning...
"That's a lot of fish."
Nick Tatopoulos, Godzilla (1998)
I'm sorry, I had to... :)
"Today we face the monsters that are at our door and bring the fight to them! Today we're cancelling the apocalypse"
-Pacific Rim (2013) Stacker Pentecost
"Nature has a way sometimes of reminding man of just how small he is. She occasionally throws up the terrible offsprings of our pride and carelessness, to remind us of how puny we really are in the face of a tornado, an earthquake, or a Godzilla. The reckless ambitions of man are often dwarfed by their dangerous consequences. For now, Godzilla, that strangely innocent and tragic monster, has gone to Earth. Whether he returns or not, or is never again seen by human eyes, the things he has taught us remain."
— Steve Martin, Godzilla 1985 (1985)

“You have your girlfriends and I have this. Let’s get back and enjoy our pleasures.”
