Hoping for 3 seasons and many more!
Hey Riley, first and foremost - I hope you're okay. Depression can be a debilitating state and the world can easily look and feel contrary to how it actually is. Our minds are powerful, they can warp our reality and influence our perceptions based on involuntary feelings motivated by any number of causes. Even though I'm just some random person on a random forum on the internet and my words might not have much impact - I hope what I say resonates to some degree with you. Sometimes it just takes one person, one phrase, one thought to shift our perspective and mentality - and thus, our reality.
I encourage you to sit with your emotions and query them. Are they based on reality? Or are they a manifestation of fear and worry? Anxiety is nothing more than stress about the future - a future you, nor I have any knowledge of. If it's regret over events from your past which continue to surface and cause you grief, I encourage you to ask yourself why they still have an impact on you right now and then ask yourself how much of that you can control? The ONLY moment we have any control over is right now - the present. The past can't be re-done, the future is not certain. The only moment you have is right now. Focus only on the factors you can control and don't spend any time worrying about factors you can't control.
I've experienced bouts of depression and anxiety and they were often influenced by fear and events I could not control. I found peace once I was able to focus on the NOW and not worry about tomorrow or yesterday. The other side of battling depression is a hyper focus on GRATITUDE. Wake up each day expecting nothing - but be thankful and grateful for everything that occurs for you - good / bad - they don't exist - cause you can't have good without bad, it's all just part of the experience which is to be Human.
And as a Human you are a manifestation of energy. Every atom in your body vibrates to a frequency influenced by your mind and the electrons firing through it. You literally create your reality as you experience it. Know you are a powerful being. Know you are enough. Know you are everything you need. You don't need to escape, you need to be still and remind yourself that you are uniquely perfectly imperfect and you are experiencing a moment in time you will never get to experience again. So, enjoy the moment - even the moments that feel difficult to enjoy. Shit will happen, life is full of ups and downs, but tomorrow is never promised. So each day, you have a new opportunity to be a better you and experience this life some more. Make the most of it!
Regarding your OP - Son of Godzilla is quite literally an escapism plot, so it certainly fits the requirement - however, from one Human to another, I'm telling you, there's nothing you need to escape from - you're right where you need to be for a reason and I hope you find comfort and peace in knowing you are part of something larger than your darkest days. I hope this reply helps in some way! Sending love your way!
Quite looking forward to this!

Welcome to the forums! Thanks for sharing this with us, I'm gonna check this out.
I LOVE this photo and i want to live in this land
It fits, so why not?
Thing is, it's not hard to respect the established timeline and operate around what already exists. Romulus contained elements of Prometheus, why can't the series? Why can't creators play in their own sandboxes? Is there no room for creativity and originality within these vastly expansive franchises?
Gripes aside at least Scott set out to create something new and unique using the same DNA as Alien without being a cloned copy/paste. How many times are we going to smile and clap at the predictability of an egg, the Facehugger latching onto someone's face – then oh no! We know what comes next... At least Prometheus and Covenant to a degree tried to expand our imaginations and venture into new territory.
Its lazy writing imo, if storytellers can't create something in the same universe without polluting what already exists.
So excited with this news. I still havent really started the VR game (i spent too much time on Alien Fireteam lol) but its good to know we can play it in 2D platform.
I think the president is a AvP fan
He is a bit of a far cry from the original Predator designs and I still think his overall look is a bit too removed from the original designs - but I'm more open to his look after the latest trailer. I'm remaining optimistic lol..
I'm not a huge fan of the prequels so if this TV-show will be better they can ignore what the prequels did, but only if they come up with better quality.
I can’t wait. When I heard the word SuperNova and I am thinking of SpaceGodzilla and I would love a good space fighting between these two titans
Sounds awesome and it has be awhile for Shin Godzilla and now since Shin Godzilla will be coming to theaters in August and I am thrilled to see on what ShinGodzilla 2 will come to.
I am so, so excited to watch this darn show. My god it looks amazing. Funny, some of the shots show Wendy grabbing her head like she's in pain (could be her new synth ears picking up higher pitched sounds, still that should not cause her any discomfort), I feel like she might be rejecting her new body maybe?

I think he looks great, not sure what the fuss is all about tbh.
I am not a Predator fan, but this trailer has me really excited to watch the movie. Elle Fanning looks amazing as Thia. (Side note, the music for the trailer slaps, omg.)

Also, I wonder if these guys are humans or Androids.

Oh, my gawd, this looks so good.

I wonder if these guys are Synths too, or just regular humans.

LOL, that looks nasty
@Jonesy; Looks like that eye parasite is in it's face maybe.
Wendy's character keeps holding her ear/head and wincing in pain, at first I assumed she was hearing things at a higher pitch because of her Synth body, but now I feel like she may actually be having problems with it, perhaps rejecting it? Anyways, can't wait to see this show!!
Nice Alien Resurrection newborn costume.
The last shot is so good, and the sheep's eyes give me creeps

I'm glad they didn't. I mean the last three Jurassic World movies always ended with a dinosaur battle.
I mean the Mutadons would be an okay raptor replacement if they actually utilized their wings during their final battle. But instead they behaved just like the JP Raptors to the point of why didn't they just kept the regular raptors in if they weren't going to utilize their wings?
Or
Better yet, we had paleo accurate feathered Raptors that could fly? How about Universal?
The Empire preview is less than a week old. Haven't read anything about the dual casting being a misdirect, where was the source for the debunking? There literally is no other logical explanation for her playing 2 roles if they weren't both Synths. Even if it was the Human her model is based on, one would be aged significantly compared to the Android version.
I think the casting call was accurate and Thia / Tessa are 2 of the same Weyland-Yutani synthetic models.
I always understood there were two androids, one has a purple streak in her hair. How old is this article tho, because I got in a discussion with someone on Reddit saying the two androids theory was debunked and was just a casting call misdirect, to which I said I didn't think so and that I heard there were two versions of Thia. One of them is also torn in half, similar to Bishop.
That appears to be the case. Actor Matthew Modine was posting about it on his instagram. It's still not 100% confirmed but everything is leaning that way. https://boundingintocomics.com/movies/movie-news/matthew-modine-may-have-revealed-spacegodzilla-is-in-godzilla-x-kong-supernova/
Some more.
Additionally, in the alternate ending, Andy was supposed to save Rain from drifting away into space after the Offspring was yeeted out.

My god it looks so good, I can't wait. One thing though, the brief synopsis of Kirsh's character gives me a bad feeling he won't be a good android, which kinda sucks. As much as I love the character David, evil or cruel/hateful (disdainful of humanity) AI isn't something I normally like, i'm a Bishop/Call/Samuels fan. I had the same issue with the Alien: Icarus comic, it was good but I didn't enjoy the cynical nature of the androids.
I hope i'm wrong because I really was looking forward to seeing him on screen, but the guy does look a lot like Roy Batty (it was Timothy Olyphant's choice to look like that, not the director) and we all know his opinion of humanity, though I suppose he did change his mind in the end.

I'm digging deep in the material, trying to add everything I can I find cool or interesting.
sounds like fun , bring it on
Its a toss up between Heisei and Monsterverse
