It continues right after Leatherback fires his energy blast at the robot and the two pilots climb out furious and don't care the beast might kill them. You see it in the trailer at 1:33 here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5guMumPFBag
The two pilots are furious and you see in the trailer the guy carrying a gun in his hand as he climbs out of the robot's head.
You know they won't back down. :)
