As 2015 comes to a close we look forward to 20 of next years science fiction, comic book and fantasy movies, many of which you will already be aware of thanks to our extensive coverage, although there are some movies we just had to include in the list. As for Scified our new look site will continue to be updated with all your favorite forthcoming sci fi and superhero movies, as well as a few cosmetic changes, all of which are just around the corner. The 5th Wave – January 22nd
Four waves of increasingly deadly alien attacks have left most of Earth decimated. Deadpool – February 12th

Armed with new abilities and a new identity, Wilson hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Gods of Egypt - February 26th
The Egyptian god of darkness Set takes over the throne of the Egyptian empire. A mortal hero, Bek, allies with the Egyptian god Horus in a mission to save the world and to rescue his love.

Midnight Special – March 18th
Roy is a father desperate to protect his uniquely gifted, eight-year-old son Alton. He must race to get Alton to a secret location all while being hunted by an extreme religious sect and a government task force. It is a full-on chase, the outcome of which could bring about a world-changing event.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice – March 25th
Following the events of Man of Steel, Gotham City-based vigilante Batman travels to Metropolis to preemptively combat Superman, while another threat endangers humankind.
Directed by Zack Snyder, starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot.
Captain America: Civil War – May 6th
After the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron, another international incident involving Steve Rogers and the Avengers results in collateral damage, prompting politicians to form a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to call in the Avengers, which results in the fracturing of the team into two opposing factions–one led by Rogers who wishes to operate without regulation, and one led by Tony Stark who supports government oversight–while they attempt to protect the world from a new enemy.

X-Men: Apocalypse – May 27th
Since ancient times the first and most powerful mutant, Apocalypse— immortal and invincible—has been worshiped as a god. When he awakens after several millennia, Apocalypse is disillusioned with the modern world and recruits a team of mutants to "cleanse" humanity and create a new world order, forcing Raven and Charles Xavier to lead a team of young X-Men to save humanity.

TMNT: Out of the Shadows - June 3rd
The Turtles come into conflict of T.C.R.I. scientist Dr. Baxter Stockman with the association of the Foot Clan and the return of their enemy, the Shredder, who has hired Stockman to create mutants of their own in the form of Bebop and Rocksteady and an unknown invasion above New York City. To prevent the end of the world, the turtles and their human friends April O'Neil and Vern Fenwick come to the aid with vigilante Casey Jones.
Directed by David Green, starring Megan Fox and Stephen Amell.
Warcraft – June 10th
Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization, led by the humans, faces a fearsome race of invaders: orc warriors fleeing their dying world of Draenor to find their place in another. As a portal known as the Dark Portal opens to connect the two worlds, the humans face destruction while the orcs face extinction. Anduin Lothar leader of the humans, and Durotan leader of the orcs, are then sent on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home, in which war has many faces and everyone fights for something.
Directed by Zowie Bowie (ahem, Duncan Jones), starring Travis Fimmel and Toby Kebbell.
Independence Day Resurgence – June 24th
Twenty years after the War of 1996, the international community recovers and builds up Earth's defenses using technology salvaged from remains of the alien forces, with some military forces assembled on the Moon. However, the aliens were able to send a distress signal before their final defeat while others went into hiding elsewhere around the world. The aliens in deep space receive the signal and threaten the human race once more with a new and even larger battle fleet.
Directed by Roland Emmerich, starriing Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman and Liam Hemsworth.
The Legend of Tarzan - July 1st
It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life in London as John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane Porter at his side. Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the corrupt Belgian Captain Rom.

Ghostbusters – July 15th
Erin Gilbert and Abby Yates are a pair of unheralded authors who write a book positing that ghosts are real. A few years later, Gilbert lands a prestigious teaching position at Columbia University, but her book resurfaces and she is laughed out of academia. Gilbert reunites with Yates and others when ghosts invade Manhattan and she and her team have to save the world.
Directed by Paul Feig, starring Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig.
Star Trek Beyond – July 22nd
The USS Enterprise crew, led by Captain James T. Kirk, have been attacked by a powerful unstoppable wave of unknown aliens, who destroy the Enterprise, leaving them stranded on a new planet where they find themselves in conflict with a new ruthless enemy, while finding a way to get off the planet.
Directed by Justin Lin, starring Zachary Quinto and Chris Pine.
Godzilla Resurgence - July 29th
Japan is plunged into chaos upon the appearance of a giant monster.

A sixteen-year-old boy who grows up on Mars falls in love with a girl on Earth, whom he has been communicating with, so he starts his journey to see her.

Suicide Squad - August 5th
A secret government agency recruits imprisoned supervillains to execute dangerous black ops missions in exchange for clemency.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story - December 16th

Assassins Creed – December 21st
