Terminator creator James Cameron originally envisioned his 1984 movie The Terminator to feature two Terminators - a reprogrammed T-800 protecting Sarah Connor and a liquid metal T-1000 programmed by Skynet to terminate Sarah Connor. Unfortunately it was impossible to realize the T-1000 back in 1984, so Cameron reimagined the movie with the T-800 as the assassin and a human resistance soldier, Kyle Reese, as Sarah Connors protector. With Terminator Genisys' further tampering of the timeline by sending a T-800 to 1974 protect Sarah Connor, Skynet sends its T-1000 back in time to 1984 instead of 1994 (Terminator 2), in the hope that the more advanced prototype can overpower Sarahs protector and terminate her before she concieves John connor, thus realizing Camerons original vision...
