Scified is back with another weekly kaiju news recap. This week gave us an amazing variety of announcements to go over. From new collabs, to tons of merchandise, and even a VR ride, we have plenty of news to jump into.
To start things off, Mondo unveiled the final wave of their Godzilla poster series. The posters are very likely already sold out, but you can view them all and find out more info here.
The Godzilla Store will be releasing four new Godzilla keychains. The keychains are in a "pinched" style and appear as if someone was, well... pinching them. They will be released in mid-June for approximately $6 each.
A new kaiju VR ride called "Kaiju Haven: VR Adventure" has been announced. The ride is now open and will allow users to have a virtual experience with numerous different Ultra Monsters. You can find out more information here.
A new wave of Bandai HG D+ figures has been revealed. The wave features Godzilla (1999), Gigan (1972), and Godzilla (2016) 2nd and 4th form alternate color versions. There may also be gold versions of Gigan and both Shin Godzilla figures available, but this isn't confirmed. The figures will release later this month in Japan for approximately $5 each.
Wizards of the Coast and TOHO announced a new partnership to bring the world of Godzilla into Magic: The Gathering. There will be 19 new Godzilla Monster Series cards available in the upcoming Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths expansion set. Finally, a new list of rumored Godzilla vs. Kong Funko POP! figures surfaced online. The list includes eight total figures and features two in the 10" scale. Due to the potential spoilers that the list entails, we will not show it in this article. However, you can instead view the list here if you so choose.
