Comic Con is upon us, and it is the 47th annual convention, making it the only event of its kind to last this long. If I were into free bets, I would bet that this year will be even better than last year. The following are just some of the highlights of the 2016 Comic Con in San Diego that might give you an adrenaline rush.
Warner Brothers
One of the most exciting things occurring at this year's Comic Con is the preview of some of Warner Brother's television shows. Many fans are interested in what NBC's DC comedy has to offer. The series is called Powerless, and it is going to be a DC-inspired full-on comedy, which is something that has not hit the superhero world since Deadpool.
The Returning Shows
Others are more interested in some of the shows that are returning with a bang. Comic Con will feature Ben McKenzie to show off the new season of Gotham. Some attendees are interested in Melissa Benoist and what she has to say about Supergirl. Of course, there are those who are into blood and brains. If this is you, you might be happy to hear that IZombie's Rose Mclver will be there.
The Game of Thrones panel is definitely garnering a lot of attention, especially after finding out that the end of the show is coming.
Luke is Making a Splash
Some people already got a glimpse of Luke Cage as he made a very memorable appearance on that Netflix show called Jessica Jones. The man is indestructible, so-to-speak, and he is ready to have his own show. Comic Con is going to be offering a special sneak peek of the show. After that, a panel will be held, which should be illuminating.
Magic Lives On
Another exciting thing happening at this year's Comic Con is David Yates will be making an appearance. This is not a meet and greet appearance because it does have a magical purpose. Apparently, Yates and the team might share some footage from the films Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Yes, Harry Potter's world is making an appearance, and everyone is very excited about it. This will be a treat for all those who attend.
The Coming Attractions
A few movies might make an appearance at this year's Comic Con, which is tickling everyone's fancy. One possibility that is getting people stocked is Doctor Strange might show up with some footage. Another movie that might be making its way to Comic Con is Kong: Skull Island along with the star of the film, Tom Hiddleston. Both Will Smith and Margot Robbie are expected to make an appearance with a little bit of Suicide Squad footage.
