While it may not have any magnificent set pieces like 2012's Avengers last years Captain America: Civil War proved to be one of, if not the best movie of the entire MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) so far because of the dynamics between the characters on either side of the movies internal conflict, which provides a wealth of character-driven moments, proving to be a big pay off for fans that have watched every instalment of the franchise thus far. Civil War was also highly successful at introducing characters previously unseen with Marvel Studios' much coveted cinematic universe including Tom Holland's Spider-Man, who returned to theaters this summer with Spider-Man: Homecoming, the heroes first solo movie to be considered as canon to the MCU. Another character that was introduced in Civil War and for the first time on the big screen was the iconic Black Panther, portrayed with superb gravitas by Chadwick Boseman.
While the marketing for Black Panther hasn't been revolutionary in any sense, each trailer has improved upon the spectacle of the preceding trailers, building up hype for what is looking to be one of the most beautiful, iconic and action-packed movies from Marvel Studios. Together with an impressive cast and the directorial talents of Ryan Coogler Black Panther could well end up competing with Civil War for the title of the best movie of the MCU.
