Murderbot is a sci-fi TV series currently streaming on Apple TV, inspired by the book series The Murderbot Diaries written by Martha Wells. The plot follows the perspective of a Cyborg guard (known as a SecUnit) who goes rogue and defies its programming after it somehow manages to discover free will. In the show the main character is played by Alexander Skarsgård and it's quite entertaining. Our friend Dane Hallett provided a ton of concept artwork for the series – many of which for the main Murderbot and SecUnits themselves! In a high-tech future, a rogue security robot (Alexander Skarsgård) secretly gains free will. To stay hidden, it reluctantly joins a new mission protecting scientists on a dangerous planet?even though it just wants to binge soap operas.
The entire first season of Murderbot is currently available to watch on Apple TV and Prime Video! The show spans 10 episodes and initially debuted on May 16th, 2025.
