Wether or not the young actress will get her chance to pilot a Jaeger remains in the hands of Legendary Pictures. The fact that the movie made less impact in the box office than Legendary would have liked, and that the production companies owns the production rights to possibly the two biggest international recgnized Kaiju properties Godzilla and King Kong, both of which have future movies in development; the future of Pacific Rim is looking morea and more uncertain.
