Legendary Pictures are producing the first ever, live-action Gundam movie and they've tapped Kong: Skull Island director Jordan Vogt-Roberts to direct it! The feature-length movie will be developed exclusively for release on the Netflix streaming platform!

Gundam is a Japanese military sci-fi franchise created by Yoshiyuki Tomino and Sunrise and features giant humanoid mechs called Gundam. These mecha served as inspiration for the Jaegers in Pacific Rim, which Legendary also produced. The Gundam brand extends beyond television and has seen great success with a number of toy lines, videogames, comic books and more!
With Vogt-Roberts at the helm, we expect a truly masterful representation of the Gundam legacy in live-action form!

Are you a Gundam fan? Are you excited that Vogt-Roberts was given the job to direct its first ever live-action debut? Let us know in the comments!
