American actress Robin Wright, who can currently be seen starring alongside Hollywood legend Kevin Spacey in Sony Pictures Television's political thriller US TV serial House of Cards (based on the BBC UK TV serial of the same name) has reportedly joined Ryan Gosling in the cast of director Denis Villeneuve's Blade Runner 2. The long awaited sequel to Ridley Scott's 1982 neo-noir science fiction movie is set to hit theaters 21st January, 2018 with original star Harrison Ford returning as Replicant hunter Rick Deckard and Scott returning as executive producer. The sequel, rumored to be set decades after the original movie based upon a idea devised by Scott and Hampton has been co-written by Hampton Fancher (and Michael Green), whom co-wrote (with David Peoples) the 1982 original.
