After the immense commercial success of last years Transformers: Age of Extinction, Hasbro and Parmount Pictures were keen to jump upon the shared universe bandwagon with news that a team of writers headed by Akiva Goldsman would pen the screenplays for the next few instalments of the movie franchise based upon the hit 1980's toy line and cartoon series.
