Since his appearance in Christopher Nolan's epic Dark Knight trilogy as the reverred Detective Jim Gordon, British actor Gary Oldman has become temporarily type cast into the role of protector and mentor, a complete 180 degree turn for an actor that has revelled in the role of villains in movies such as Lost in Space, Fifth Element, Air Force One, JFK, Leon, True Romance and of course as the title character in Francis Ford Copolla's Dracula.
Thankfully it seems as though the days of playing nice are coming to an end for Oldman as he returns in the antagonistic role of Dreyfus, the leader of the human survivors haunted by the death of his two sons at the hands of the apes.
