Jason Statham battling a giant, prehistoric shark. If that sentence doesn't excite you beyond measure, you need to re-evaluate your life. That's right, next summer action movie star Jason Statham will star in The Meg as Captain Jonas Taylor, a former Navy captain and diver, who is sent to rescue a team of scientists who have become trapped in their deep sea research station after disturbing a gigantic prehistoric shark - a Megalodon. The $150+ million blockbuster is being directed by Jon Turteltaub, who explained a little of the film's plot to Empire for their latest feature:

The Meg will arrive in theaters on August 10th, 2018! Be sure to check back for more updates on the film's cast, plot, images and upcoming trailers!
