Dirty New Batmobile Spotted on Dawn of Justice Set!

Initially the Batmobile was little more than a means of quick transportation for Bob Kane's caped crusader, but after the merchandising success centred around the Adam West Batmobile the vehicle became an extension of the character. Over the next few decades the vehicles prominence grew until Tim Burton introduced us to his sleek, jet-engined, gothic, neo-noir Batmobile in his 1989 adaptation. From that point on, be it on the big screen, the small screen, the comic book page or the video game screen each successive adaptation of DC's most popular superhero has attempted to create the next best Batmobile - and there have been many contenders. But it wasn't until Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins in 2005 that the Burton-mobile was finally beaten with the arrival of the Tumbler. Yet as impressive and unique as the Tumblers design was, its place in pole position may not be as long lived as its predecessor.

The Tumbler may be the fan favorite, but for how much longer?

There has been much speculation about the overall design and capabilities of the new Batmobie that will feature in 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Now with much thanks to Batman News and Instagram user DCU The Watchtower we have three images of a somewhat dusty and muddy Batmobile, spotted on location in Detroit, Michigan.
