Developed by Beenox Software and published by Activision the Amazing Spider-Man 2 videogame is loosely based on the movie, sharing the enemy Electro in both name and look but also featuring the Kingpin and Kraven the Hunter, the latter of which seems to be cast as a mentor for Spider-Man; teaching him how to hunt in his quest to track down Uncle Ben's murderer.
The trailer (below) shows a mix of cut-scenes and in-game footage, which actually shows promise bringing back fond memories of the truly awesome Spider-Man that was released for the very first Playstation, with a generous mix of both the predator and combat gameplay elements from the Batman: Arkham games. Very rarely do movie-tie-in video-games actually work (with the obvious exception of Nintendo 64's Goldeneye) but this could be one of the few exceptions to the rule, if the game has enough content and challenege when it is released later this spring.
Not a game for those with a fear of heights!
