The Ancient Alien theory(or speculation) is not "BS" at all.
ReplyGuestPrometheus ForumBeware, Prometheus NOT a Historical Document...Apr 4, 2012
lol Spartacus. Daniken's definitely one of the better researchers. When you compare some of these ancient cultures you realize they're talking about the same groups of beings in completely different locations, with names that aren't always linked etymologically, meaning less chance of cultural transmission. The same traits end up being applied to these groups in their myths and written testaments. And we definitely see the coming down from the stars/flying "object" aspect many times; Followed by an earlier awareness of astronomy in those same cultures. The Sumerians knew about Pluto even though we don't consider it a planet now, and it wouldn't be seen with a telescope for thousands of years, even being a semi-recent discovery in the 20th century.
Stories depicting what we think of today as the grey alien show up cross-culturally as well. Most recognizably as the ant-people or the Anasazi in native American folklore that helped the ancients escape the flood by burrowing into the Earth and the Grand canyon and teaching them to build their ancient stone cities. These guys were sometimes at war with the tall bearded men some of the ancient meso-Americans saw as gods, and taught them to fear/worship as gods.

@BigDave
There are holes in Science and much more in the Evolution theory because they are man made. The scope of Science is to investigate these holes.
You wouldn't find many people willing to admit holes in religion because that would be admitting that religion is man made.
Critical thought is the worst enemy of religion.

-"What I find MOST AMAZING is all the people who insult and belittle the work of Von Daniken and it could turn out that he knew better than all of them...Einstein, Darwin, ect etc etc...all of them....His incredible realizations were Born of having and maintaining an "OPEN MIND" !!!!!!"
-Here's a bit of info on Von Daniken and his work:
-"Scientists and historians have rejected his ideas, claiming that the book's conclusions were based on faulty, pseudoscientific evidence, some of which was later demonstrated to be fraudulent or fabricated, and under illogical premises. For example, Ronald Story wrote a book rebutting Däniken's ideas in 1976 titled The Space Gods Revealed. A similar internationally bestselling book, entitled Crash Go The Chariots by Clifford Wilson, appeared in 1972." --Wiki
-"At the age of 19, von Däniken was caught stealing money, both from an innkeeper and from a camp where he was employed as a youth leader, and was given a four-month suspended sentence. The psychiatrist who examined von Däniken at the time described him as displaying a "tendency to lie".[6] Von Däniken was withdrawn from his school, and became apprenticed to a Swiss hotelier for a time,[7] before moving to Egypt. While in Egypt, he was involved in a jewelry deal which resulted in a nine-month conviction for fraud and embezzlement upon his return to Switzerland.[6]
After his release, von Däniken became the manager of the Hotel Rosenhügel in Davos, Switzerland, during which time he wrote Chariots of the Gods?, supposedly working on the manuscript late at night after the hotel's guests had retired.[8] In December 1964, von Däniken wrote an article entitled Hatten unsere Vorfahren Besuch aus dem Weltraum? ("Did our Ancestors have a Visit from Space?") for the German-Canadian periodical Der Nordwesten.[9] Chariots of the Gods? was accepted by a publisher in early 1967, and printed in March 1968.[8]
In November 1968 von Däniken was arrested for fraud, after being caught falsifying hotel records and credit references in order to take out loans[8] to the value of $130,000 over the course of the previous twelve years. He had been using this money to fund foreign travel to research his book.[6] Two years later,[8] von Däniken was convicted for "repeated and sustained" embezzlement, fraud and forgery, with the court ruling that the writer had been living a "playboy" lifestyle.[10] Von Däniken entered a plea for nullity on the grounds that his intentions were not malicious and the credit institutions were at fault for failing to adequately research his references,[8] but a court-appointed psychiatrist considered the defendant to be fully accountable for his actions, and described him as a criminal psychopath.[10][6] Von Däniken was sentenced on 13 February 1970 to three and a half years imprisonment and fined 3,000 francs.[8][11] He served one year of this sentence before being released.[6][12]
His first book, Chariots of the Gods?, had been published by the time of his trial, and its sales allowed him to repay his debts and leave the hotel business. Von Däniken wrote his second book, Gods from Outer Space, while serving his prison sentence."--Wiki
-"One artifact offered as evidence in the book has been disclaimed by Däniken himself. Chariots asserts that a non-rusting iron pillar in India was evidence of extraterrestrial influence, but Däniken admitted in a Playboy interview (vol.21, no.8, August 1974) that the pillar was man-made and that as far as supporting his theories goes "we can forget about this iron thing." Neither this nor any other discredited evidence has been removed from subsequent editions of Chariots of the Gods."-Wiki
-You want to place your chips down on this character?

wow, a lot has happened :s.
@Spartacus what i mean is the Tenessee bill makes it possible wait i'll quote the article
"The measure passed by the Tennessee General Assembly would protect teachers who allow students to criticize evolution and other scientific theories, such as global warming."
protect teachers? i mean how is that freedom if a teachers let pupils criticise and get punished???
why would you even need a bill for that, it's common sence i thought?
Humans wouldn't be where they are if they didn't question and/or challenged old habits/knowledge

@belladonna,
I love how in the trailer interview a girl asks him about being old school and he bluntly tells her to f**k off (was an online question I believe).
It's like you could be his biggest fan and he'd still flick his cigar ashes in your face, expecting you to smile. LOL

Actually, I don't care if what Scientology believes in, (Heck, since I am a member of a highly disliked religion, I am weary of attacks on beliefs in general.) The big issue is how Scientology treats the people in Scientology, which is the real scandal.

Yes.. the posters with the long barrel gun. They were mostly for show purposes. He would have looked a little goofy holding the little PPK in a poster.
ReplyNoXWordPrometheus ForumPossible clue in the ship hologramApr 4, 2012
I am under the impression that one of the doors we see opening in the trailers is one entrance to the ship. The room with the giant head seems to be in the cave (there's dirt on the ground) but the ribcage tunnels and the room with pillars made of what seem to be ampules have a smoother floor, much more likely to be inside the ship.

We can mock it and say its a joke and not Religon.
Because maybe Religon is based on the Truth and Fact.
But then how many have actually tried to read the Bible and Koran?

People should just use all teachings of Good from Religon and i mean all and not just the Bible/Koran and apply it to a positive and peacefull way of life. Use them as a guide to how to treat each other.
There are bad points to religons and thats why i have a hard time in beleaving them, not only because of the holes in them, there are holes in Science and Evolution aswell.
I just find many things with certain religons a bit hypocritical

Its a huge vessel. The little yellow people dots really it give it scale when you see the greater detail.

No big deal, man. It's cool. I think there was some misunderstanding over the origin of my views, but I made it clear, so.
I enjoy reading the conversations and being around people who share an interest in this new film. I'll make a comment when I feel like I have something to say, but I have no expectations. I don't expect anyone to agree with what I say or respond at all. If they think what I say is dumb or not worth their attention, it's cool. I'm just some anonymous guy on a web forum, anyway. I'm not expecting to become chummy with anybody. I just want to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of this forum. Because we only have 2 more months to speculate about the film. So let's enjoy!

no, offense, but AAT isnt even a theory, its pure speculation. There are no aliens proven. Not ancient not now, sorry. ( the greys are of demonic character, and else, not extraterrestial)
I rather believe that these are set up by real secret agencies and the military-industrial complex. ( see triangle UFO, is made by Lockheed industries)
In addition, most stuff AAT´s are discussing is proven false. Take a good example, Sitchin. He was quite popular, but debunked. Here is a site from a professional archeologist:
http://www.sitchiniswrong.com/ancientastro/ancientastro.htm
Why do you think Erich von Däniken choses a certain method when writing, he is just asking, not claiming. He knows why, as he was in jail. Nevertheless he is selling.
bestselling lies. they give what these people want to hear..
so facts first..

Yes, I was going to get at that but I did not have anything like those pics. Thanks for confirming for me.
And wow!.. the production photos due confirm scale. 60' diameter turntable seems to be about the overall size.
But!..... So there are actually 3 (Three) SARCOPHAGI !! Wow.... OK, so I do think now there are 3 beings involved in this process.
And just a thought... Why would our now famous Blue Meanie be STANDING on the control panel and crouching down at a control... Its almost like its the FIRST time that this thing is being used by this particular Blue Meanie and it wasnt sure exactly how to use it !?? Surely, the panel would have been an ergonomic design that whatever was SITTING in the BIG CHAIR would be easily able to reach it?
FURTHER EDIT: There are actually 4 (four) Sarcophagi. I saw 4 in another topic. Should have linked to the pic, but I cant find it right now.

There is a big big difference between Scientology and the AA theory and an even bigger one between Tom Cruise and Erich Von Daniken !!!
Scientology has a heck of a lot in common with Religion though, both are almost 90% comprised of Complete and Utter Fabricated B.S. and wrapped within some really good ideas at that. So even though they may both smell good at times their both a Complete Dead End.
