LV426 seems like the most likely source for the xeno eggs. I don't know if they're using any of the Prometheus extra features material as part of the back story or not, but I recall reading that Peter Weyland intended to go on to LV426 if the mission to LV423 proves fruitless. I also recall that Weyland had already intercepted the beacon signal from LV426 prior to the launch of Prometheus so clearly the company was interested in going there.
Based on the muscle density of the xeno, and further detailed analysis of its biceps brachii as showed here
I've come to the conclusion that the host was a character played by none other than Dwayne Johnson
Episode 3 is so good. Actually all 3 are good. It's such an amazing victory to continue to Alien saga with this TV show. I hope it will get at least 5 seasons. :D
Btw I love Boy Kavalier's room. It has a 60s retro yet futuristic feel.
I was not expecting much before I watched the movie, but was extremely pleased with Alien Romulus! I thought the Offspring was awesome, but I am in fact, a long time Engineer-lover!!
The Offspring creeped me out so, the job was done well lol I too, loved the inclusion of Prometheus lore and Engineer DNA in the film’s final act. Hoping more of this gets fleshed out in the Romulus sequel. 🙏🏻
Maybe, if the show is successful, they will create some new music for the show. Don't like the music either. It is out of place.
After watching 3rd episode I really happy with the show so far. It even exceeds my expectation as it brings all the creatures in a brand new level. All the main characters kick ass and Kirsh and Kavalier are particularly amazing in it (Kirsh gives me David vibe). I also love the Peter Pan hybrids idea, so refreshing and creative (and considering it has some dark theories regarding the subject matter).
I did enjoy the ending of Episode 3 a lot more than I enjoyed its beginning lol The show is growing on me in some ways, I enjoy the Kirsh character arc so far the most and I hope to see more of his curiosities explored, but frankly I have yet to care at all about the Lost Boys and the Hybrid angle. I’m struggling to get into it due to their child-brains 😂
Overall the third episode was an improvement though, for sure. Eager to watch Ep. 4 next week!
I had never heard of this one! I’ll look for this on Tubi now that you mentioned it, thanks for sharing this! 🙂

There seems to be some similarities between Earth and Scott's prequels. Whether it's intentional or coincidental remains to be seen.
Planet 4 might be one of the planets that they have found a home on. If we look at the Roman empire there might have been different roles for the Engineers and that some of them might have been civilians (planet 4) and the one that we saw in Prometheus might have been one of their soldiers that was sent out to keep their creations in check if the creations got out of hand (humans). We haven't been given an answer so my idea might be wrong, but this is how I interpret it.
The Xeno which attacks and is killed by Wendy was born from a Human on-board the Maginot prior to its crash. "WHO" still remains a mystery, however.
Kirsh has his jumpsuit sleeves rolled up just like Bishop!! <3

That Maggot Brain cover was good.
Yup, it was a mistake

Dek won't be having shoes.
Did he also say it is magnificient?
Yes the official release versions are: the theatrical version and the considerably longer and better "assembly cut" released in the early 2000s I believe.
I am so much more thankful for Alien Romulus getting made instead!

I thought Wendy having some sort of telepathic link to the xenomorph might have something to do with her ability to control cameras/other technology shown in episode 2.
Wendy was able to alter the code of that robot to speak to her brother, and it was pointed out by the scientists observing her that Wendy was never taught how to do that, and they didn't even know it was possible.
Since the xenomorphs are also part machine, maybe this telepathic connection is the same ability, but she is not able to fully control it since they are not fully mechanical?
ignorantGuy Hannibal spared Clarice and told her the world was a more interesting place with her in it while David killed Shaw to make his own world more interesting. Hannibal seems honorable compared to David. Hannibal basically killed those who deserved it while David seemed more about his own agenda. At any rate, it is interesting to compare/contrast these characters.
Didn't Hannibal kill a nurse and doctor also?
First time the showed an actual embryo in the egg. Wonder how he knew it was there.
I don't think the red headed girl will make it past season 1.
Alien Earth is separate continuity so far. They've confirmed as much. It'll still lead to Alien but Aliens is 59 years after this so i doubt Noah Hawley is really concerned with neatly tying into anything that far down the timeline. Prometheus and Covenant already don't matter to Earth. He doesn't like the prequels.
They do use some things from the prequels. One of the things that stood out was when David's master told him to pour his tea and David gave him that look. In Alien Earth, the boy genius degraded his assistant by stating he never had an intelligent conversation with her and she gave him the same look. Wonder what she will do to him as the series progresses. Hell hath no fury!
There is more than one version?

I haven't watched it so I don't know, it seems a bit high when I think of it. I'm not sure what could top the original three, I guess that we'll have to wait and see how peoples perception change over time.
Yeah, I’m a little shocked it surpassed the original 2 of all films, but as others have pointed out it could simply be that the original 2 haven’t received as many votes or ratings on Rotten Tomatoes platform. I’m really not sure as I’ve never used their site to review anything, not sure how it works.
Makes me wanna revamp our movie and review section though, to allow for hard core fans to give their honest reviews, no paid endorsements 😉

More photos keep dropping!
My guess is, he either has them in the comic and losses them later on. Or its just a tiny mistake- artistic freedom made by the cover artist, not uncommon.
Kind of like the Mega Man 2 American cover featuring Mega Man holding a gun. The artist who painted it said while he was observing beta footage of the game, he asked folks what weapon mega man was holding, and someone said “probably a pistol” and so he drew a pistol instead of the iconic mega buster.
Happened to me also, back in 2023, when I was painting a cover for a short PS1-style VHS indie horror game, I was shown some screenshots of the killer, and I couldn’t tell what weapon the killer had because of the angles. So I asked the publisher what weapon is that, and was told “it’s a sickle, looks like a sickle” and so I drew a sickle. Later it turned out the weapon was a meat hook with d-style handle.
So he lost them before he travels to Kalisk... or this was some artistic freedom. Either way, a bit confusing... lol
Re-watched the trailers, and he doesn't appear to be wearing any boots; not even the NECA figure has him with boots.

I don't think it was from an animal as we saw that chest exit wound from a human in the cryo pod. However it moves similarly to the runner from A3 and that one burst out of a dog (or an ox depending on which version you watched)
That orange cat we saw in episode 1 was merely fan service and a throwback to the OG orange cat Jonesy from the first Alien.
I’m gonna try to give the plot some grace with regards to Hermit and make the suggestion that maybe Hermit doesn’t pose a real threat to the Xenomorph (cause he really doesn’t) and maybe the Xeno sees him more viable as a host for the eggs waiting back on the ship. That’s my theory, the Xenomorph kills all immediate threats and then hunts down hosts, that would explain why it holds back and doesn’t kill him despite having many opportunities to do so. 🤷🏼♂️
If they killed him, Wendy would lose part of her storyline.

Kirsch is indeed interesting. I'm not sure if he's a double agent. Maybe he's more like David in Prometheus and wants to create his own destiny. For a second I thought he was going to let the boy "genius" get facehugged. I can see this playing out like the Jurassic Park movies where the monsters get loose and somebody (I'm not sure yet who) has to hit the old self destruct button to keep containment. That could explain the absence of Prodigy in the future.
I totally saw Kirsh contemplating letting Boy get facehugged. You know he was thinking about it 😂 But instead used that as an opportunity to have unfettered access to the Alien eggs and other specimens, free to do his work without Boy or any humans getting too close. And in true Alien fashion, leaving the Android alone to tinker with Facehuggers never ends well for the Humans…

I have watched both episodes three times and honestly, I think i'm going through the stages of grief over this series. Currently, i'm in denial... Thank god for Timothy Olyphant is all i'll say, Kirsh my fave character, along with Morrow. All the actors are good, imo. rnIt's not terrible, but so far I am underwhelmed to say the least. I'll try and keep an open mind and enjoy the rest of the episodes but to me something is off and I can't explain it, it's like "Temu Alien", if that makes any sense. I subbed to Disney+ to watch and support the show, *cries*. Oh well, at least I can enjoy the other Alien movies there, lol.I'm hoping they answer questions like, why the xenomorph didn't attack Wendy when she was in the storage bin with her brother, before the end of the season and don't keep us hanging while they decide if and when there will be a season 2.
Yeah that xeno likes to drool all over Hermit but can't eat him. Insane plot armor.
I could see the scenario of Boy Kavalier pushing the boundaries with Kirsch to the point where the android plots a revenge. He didn't immediately warn and remove Boy when the xeno egg was opening as if he was hesitant? I don't know I could be wrong.
