I'm a huge AVP nerd but the crossover movies have been so bad, even cannon wreckers.  Charles Weyland in modern times?  Pathetic.  I think the most awesome potential for a good movie would be to focus on a Yautja clan, no humans or humans as a plot device only.  Make it a foreign language move.  It's a risk but if done right, a worthy addition.  Everyone involved in such an undertaking would need to be or become very familiar with the first 3 Alien movies, the first 2 Pedator movies, and Predator, plus some graphic novels and AVP PC games (Not YOU, Colonial Marines trash!).  Gotta get the Yautja culture and way of thinking right.

I know, I think it would be really cool if they expanded on that idea by bringing in more well know cryptids. They sort of made references to some cryptids, such as Titanus Leviathan being located in Loch Ness, but I would love to see them bring in some smaller scale cryptids, like Yeti and Sasquatch. It would be interesting to see them link Monarch with some of the more famous reports of cryptids throughout history, like the Point Pleasant Mothman and Puerto Rico Chupacabra incidents. 

@HinikunaGoji: Why do you dislike aliens being in the MonsterVerse? 

I’ve said this before, but I really dislike the idea of aliens in Monsterverse.

It is definitely one of the top MCU films now, the fan service and nostalgia were off the charts hahaha.

I honestly didn't care if Venom would show up. I walked into the film pretty much expecting what everyone else was expecting (spoilers), and was not disappointed.

Cool, I have yet to unlock every dinosaur/reptile in the game, so I haven't been able to do a full battle royale yet. 

@jd87 , you are not only one who want to see the TRUTH :) . I think in a REAL  encounter with humans , Predator will be like Spanish conquistadors wich kill ALL aztecs , or White ppl kill ALL red skin indians .... They have no chance with BOW against FIREARMS .  But it seems producers believe bow are stronger than energy weapons, radars,infrared vision ...etc  :( 

Next movie will be with an kid ? Maybe an 7 years old (kevin wich forget him mom in jungle...) will kill a Predator ??? I am very sad the Predator became a joke :(

saw sue the t.rex at the chicago field museum over christmas. (the flight back was a bloody nightmare)

also finally got my grubby mitts on jwe2,and ive been playing it wich is why ive been gone so long.

i did a battle royale and albertosaurus won. (they killed the bloody spino and rexy!)

favorite dinosaur is definitly crylophosaurus. just because of its purple eye (bloody epic)

also if you did´nt notice my new years resolution is to talk more like a british (i mean why not?)

It's been great having you as part of our community here ninXeno426! Differences of opinions are what make discussions so engaging here! I'm glad you continue to enjoy these forums, I do as well and I too am looking for to 5+ more years. Let's hope we have more Alien news / theories to dissect in that time frame though haha

Unfortunately Dracula, Frankenstein's monster and the Creature From the Black Lagoon wouldn't show up in the MonsterVerse due to Universal wanting to use them for their own series (though I can't really see monsters like them fitting in the MonsterVerse either).

The MonsterVerse has a big focus on mythology and has already linked some of the new Titans to mythological creatures (such as Scylla and Behemoth) so I can see them expanding on that idea.

Cryptids would also be a really cool addition to the MonsterVerse. I'm a huge cryptid enthusiast, so I would love to see some in the series.

Like, what if the MonsterVerse was a universe that delved into mythology and cryptozoology, and just happened to include Godzilla and other kaiju. A literal “monster-verse.”

Thanks for sticking around. I like that there are different people here with their perspectives, likes and dislikes. Having different opinions is what drives discussions and that's fine, not to say that I'll agree with everyone, but that's OK. I like the picture that you attached

Uhhh the marines were slaughtered by the xenomorphs, also Vasquez unloaded an entire pistol clip into that xenomorph warrior, it was still pretty tough. Yes we see xenomorphs gun down but are they actually dead? They may have just got knocked down from the impact of the pulse rifle...aside from the ones Ripley killed in the hive.

Also Ash was pretty much worshipping the xenomorph at that point of the movie and he is capable of lying and withholding information.

Ash says: You can't kill it. You don't know what you're dealing with. He knew full well they had flamethrowers.
Alien at the end goes into the spacecraft's thrusters and is only ejected by pressure when the engines are turned on. It won't burn. The shot is repeated.
Dallas is found with  empty flamethrower. Parker: This flamethrower needs a new charge. It's safe to assume he fired on the Alien.
A flamethrower can kill monsters like polar bears. But even the spacecraft's thrusters don't work on the Alien.
A bunch of Marines with rifles were shooting Aliens like cattle in a pasture. Vasquez with a pistol. It's completely stupid. Aliens would be easier to hunt in the forests of Earth than bears or lions.
Nobody's saying that Alien should have come to Earth. Ripley should have died and the pile of garbage that was filmed later wouldn't have happened. And that would have been great.

I would keep Gareth Edwards for more films.

Well, I feel like maybe get one of the Marvel producer’s like the Russo brothers for a Monsterverse film

Actually make the human characters interesting and not like they have to be their. Like I enjoyed MBB in GvK, but it made me feel like I was watching Stranger Things, which I don’t want to think about or be reminded of while watching a film about giant monsters fighting

Keep Eiza Gonzalez in it

and like sonictiger said, involve both Japanese and American actors or have actors from different backgrounds and cultures 

- Longer movies

- Get actually good scriptwriters

- Horror Directors only

- No World-Building, just an anthology-based cinematic universe

- Involve both US and Japanese people in the making of the movie

- Make actually good human characters

- And finally, keep Millie Bobby Brown and Ken Wantanabe but replace EVERYONE ELSE.

I think saying animals was an exaggeration so I understand. I just don’t like the flippety floppety nature of the monsterverse at this point. It’s not really something I get excited about anymore. It doesn’t really have to be Godzilla anymore is the thing. I mean I don’t dislike the way they’ve portrayed him up to this point, it’s just the monsterverse seems so caught up on being marvel it forgot it was about Godzilla. 

I know I’ve said before that Godzilla movies should be able to work without him, but I mean this in a different way, Monsterverse has gotten generic to me. It hasn’t try anything new that hooks my interest. If it continues (which if it does, I don’t expect Goji) and Goji is still in it, I’d probably go watch it, but other than that my excitement is dead at this point. It’s like marvel, fun, but I don’t really think about it. Sometimes can be really good and has a great message but not thought provoking in any way. It tries to seem epic, by having epic events and has so much, but forgets that being epic and pretending are different things.

Its literally at the point where people ask, “Wouldn’t it be CoOL If BIoLante we’re in new films. And the only response is “Sure.” Any elaboration beyond that seems pointless to me.

Another thing I’ve noticed is Monsterverse feels finished, Wingard really nailed this in. I think it was a good choice, GvK didn’t get caught up in trying to be a Cinematic Universe, but just threw monsters at each other. That ending just ended it. 

Oh well this just ended up into a rant about my frustrations with the Goji franchise at this point. It seems what most people want from it is a fun fight, but that’s not what I wanted

I had no issue with the shifting tones of how the monsters are treated. The Showa series did it to, albeit, more gracefully.

I've always felt they were too consistent. I don't particularly care for the idea that they come from the Hollow Earth. Giving them all the same origin instead of allowing them to be unique byproducts of human arrogance reduces what the monsters can say about us thematically. Which is kind of the point to begin with.

I don't want kaiju being animals. I want them being monsters--Which is a mirror for humanity. In that respect I certainly agree with your last paragraph.

I what meant in it is that KOTM and G14/KSI treated monsters differently. While  14 and KSI portrayed them as animals and such, KOTM and GvK tried to heavily reframe them as mythical. And while I get giant animals could inspire myth, literally having Mothra in the temple was weird. It was cool, but it didn’t quite fit. It felt to perfect and not like an animal. Monsterverse keeps trying to flip flop from science to divine creatures that it’s really inconsistent in tone. 

Honestly I’d like to see a god Godzilla, and The polygon trilogy and Singular Point gave us that. But G14 had a nice tone going for it, having a Godzilla leaning more into a Fantastique world would be nicer.

Holy crap really? The alien imitating Ripleys voice if that was suggested should have been taking out the whole idea is stupid. Even if they didn't take that out what would they story been? 1 alien comes to earth?? Boring
