The scene with her falling to her knees makes sense if it's after the shot where we see her walking, doubled over, down the hallway. Then she comes to the room where they all are and collapses. All this after she has the auto doc extract something from her abdomen. That's how I see those pieces fitting.

Well i did a cross reference of the Pilot Chair in Alien and Prometheus and guessed the size based on mesure of the Humans (Dallas) in Alien that the Chairs are 15-16ft long. When comparing this way i estimated the SJ in Alien to be 12ft and in Prometheus 9ft which fits in with what Ridley says they are. The orginal production team said the Alien Jockey was 15ft. So the Jockey in the Chair of this movie is still large and most likely the Blue Man in same scenes. The only scene i have problems with the SJ apear to be the scene where one is standing above Shaw as this bieng does not look evern 7ft let alone 9ft. Maybe its just the angles?

what if the blue guy is shaws baby? but rapidly growing like the xenos do in a sence, someone on the forums said it could be her baby and i agree. so him getting to know the surroundings etc would fit well, as both himself and the planet are changing i guess.

@noodles Not according to that Empire article. They say the jockey is a tall blue/gray humanoid. And that the large head statue was created in his image. If that's true then that means the tall humanoid in the chair scene is the jockey.

Another note is i spoke to someone who claims they know a bit about the plot and that it is simular to Alien Resurection but does not want to give it away. Maybe he is just BS, but he says the Two Andriods are the most important part of the plot? Well from what i seen in Trailers and Alien Resurection only connections i can make are Ripley being a experiment i.e cloned so as to extract the Alien Queen, and could this be simular to whats happned with Shaw? And that Ripley and her Hybrid Baby could be simular to the effected people in this movie, Ripley has Alien DNA and thus great Strength and we can see that from Mutated Fifeild? Maybe the guy means that he starts and maybe Holloway aswell as carrying a infection that alters their DNA which at first is not recognisable i.e just how Ripley looked in Alien 4, but then mutates to what Ripleys Baby does? Thus Evolution of a Mutation/Infection that changes Man to Proto Xeno? Who knows?

I don't think we have seen the SJ yet. Just like he didn't showed us the Xenomorph in the Alien trailer.

well with many scenes the answers could be easy if we knew what order they apear in. Such as if we knew the Eel/Tenticle thingy that tries to get to Shaw as she is behind a Door, depending if this scene is after or before the Med Table Squidy Scene could be a big factor. The med table scene here is how i peice it together, some how Shaw is inpregnanted with some Organism, and the company finds out something is up with her, the scene where she fells to knees could be when they find out somethings up and then leads to the scene where they try and restrain her. Or it could be after the scene where they try and restrain her and she escapes but not far and falls to knees. You can se black discharge as if maybe her Water Breaks? This leads to the scene where they take something out of her, thats my opinion. My view on the Space Jockey/Blue Guy is they are one and the same, the size fits the bill the style of the Suit fits the bill. Only odd thing is the one SJ in the Shaw scene does not look over 8ft tall? What could be imporant is there is 100% a scene of one Dead Jockey with its head/mask off. That other image could be more dead Jockeys which if thats the case adds even more to what killed them. They seemed to have died a horrable death i.e not via some virus but killed by something physically. I would assume the crew did not kill them, and i would assume they was dead a long time before the crew landed. There does not have to be two Races, dont forget WW2 was by Humans vs Humans. Maybe some of the Blue Guy/SJ tried to kill off others but for what reason? Maybe a rogue faction of SJ's killed off the rest and then lay in cryostasis for us to come visit them. We just dont know, we dont know if there may be a suprise and so we dont know if the Jockeys are the Eel things, Mutated Humans or what ever. I would assume they are a advanced Race of Large Humaniods and thus the Anunaki from Sumerian Tales. But i guess we wont know for sure untill more is leaked or we see the movie.

They came from the queen, she laid them first and the human reproductive cycle, born of the genetic blend, manifested some time after the eggs were laid....

I think the guy in the pic above (right) is going to end up being a sort of hybrid or human. Hence his smaller size.

The empire article confirmed that the space jockeys were 3 meters tall. But I agree, the blue guy in the picture looks smaller than that.

@Svanya I don't think he meant that the baby (if any) is actually going to be Ripley, I think he just meant the baby would be like Ripley's "baby" in resurrection. A hybrid.

good find, BUT the suits are on a platform, plus they would be bigger with the suit on.

Regarding this business of "we have to be given some understanding of some of these basic elements"....you don't HAVE to be given anything. Since when is it the audience's place to demand details in a given story? A writer details to the reader the dictates of the story he or she is meant to know....and the apparently indifferent psychology or modus operandi of an alien race, that by definition is foreign to human understanding, does not HAVE to be known...particularly given the notion that the not knowing, the inability to understand or reconcile that indeiffrence is more frightening and to the point of a horror film....which, by all accounts this is. And...in the case of 'Prometheus', pursuant to the notion that realism - particularly in science fiction - bolsters a film's credibility, it is likely that not knowing this particular aspect is the most realistic component of any human/alien contact. In our daily lives, we experience any number of moments or the universal results of an infinite number of cascading events in countless lives beyond our own, never knowing or NEEDING to know the truth behind what led to what's happening now in this moment....and yet, life goes on......we somehow manage to function without knowing why this person did this to us or why they did that to someone we care about.....why does anything happen? We may want to know...we don't have to know, not to enjoy this filmic experience, not to process the evnts as they unfold or, more importantly, the response and the choices made by the people involved.......isn't that always the most interesting, valuable and pertinent aspect of any story? Look, I understand the wanting to know...I want to know......What I am ultimately saying is that not knowing may be part of the point....

Not gonna lie, IF the movie goes that way, with a baby Ripley being born from some breeding by ancient Aliens, I will be super disappointed. The whole reason Alien was so unique/scary was that for once the men were violated and "gave birth". Also, it would ruin my view of Ripley as a unique and strong woman if it turns out she was bred to be an Alien killer/hunter whatever and not just an accidental victim who was amazingly tough by her own right.

Back in time ... the humans saw a flying saucer thingy ... some bloke turns up ... blah blah blah ... here's some life ... use it ... (that's our 'fire') ... but remember we're already made into humans ... because the drawings have the big geezer talking to small people (which must be US right?) ... we then document it on the walls ... So ... what's to say we didn't write the scribbles on those walls, to 'remind ourselves' of what happened? ... be it a warning an invite or just a note to self? ... by documenting it we are then able to tell others who follow us, in life ... We later 'think' it's an invitation ... que Prometheus the movie ... Work that out :) ... You think that's way out ... you need to have a go on the bong I've just ordered off eBay ... because I'm gonna need it when this sodding movie comes out ...

Yep there is Religious and there is Religious. If Shaw was at one extream she would not even bat a eyelid at a Space Ship and would not go on board it as by doing so shatters her beleaves in two. Dont forget some Religious people do not ackowlege many things that are fact, some say the Dinosaurs was created by Man by that they just sculptures, and that indeed Man has never been on the Moon and will never ever be able to leave Earths Orbit. Period because the Bible says so ;)

Good point, in the trailer i'm trying to listen and see what they are not saying and showing,not what they are showing and saying ,or you basicly see most elements of the movie, no suprises. The space jockey is intriguing because there are smaller space jockey's, two of them in the frame on top of this page that says talk Prometheus. They are smaller and if space suits could possibly fit a human. The scene wherte some being is sittting in the space jockey chair and being strapped in in full regalia shows a being much smaller than the one found on the derilect ship, fossilized in alien, he appears to be half the size and possibly a different species or caste of space jockey/engineer, or possibly a human, or the synthetic David, since we do see him playing around in what appears to be the alien craft and manipulating the holograms as if he can control and understandtheir technology. Also as they are entering the chamber with the humanoid face, there is a huge space jockey/suit laying apparantly dead, decapitated with its head being studied by two women a few meters away, and possibly a whole slew of dead, skeletonized alien/space jockey beings laying against the waqs like they were massacred. There are definately two sizes of space jockey gear.

Yeah i do try and beleave in a God, but then my rational brain looks at all evidence and i find it thus hard to beleave what some Science and Religons are saying. Thats before the Hypocracy. I would say i follow a more Spiritual/Inlightenment than any religon, i do find the Ancient Astronaught theory does have some weight. But we cant prove any beleaf really.

I know the scene, its online but low quality. It shows Shaw on the Table and you can see something growing inside her. Which goes with the idea that they cut the Organism out of her and not try to place it inside of her. I did speak to someone who says they found out some stuff and that the movie is very close in many ways to Alien Resurection and the goings on in that, and they did not mean the Xenos exactly but Ripley and her Baby. And that some parts of this movie will be simular. From that maybe this person means these things. 1) Cutting of Alien Organism out of female. 2) Human with Alien DNA i.e like Ripley 3) Mutatation/Hybrid Ripley Baby.

It does have similar features..Perhaps the Betty was an attack ship version of the Prometheus.

I still have a hard time believing the premise as to how the United Systems Military came about getting the DNA for Ripley, especially since she killed herself in Alien 3! But, enough of that. In the end, it had to be greed that did them in. As Ripley said in Aliens to Burke, "You know, Burke, I don't know which species is worse...them or us. But, at least they don't screw each other over for a goddamn percentage."

I don't agree that it's safe to assume the SJs and "engineers" aren't one and the same, because the evidence people are basing that assumption on, is circumstantial and pretty thin. I also wonder if the dead bodies we see piled up in that hallway are necessarily SJs. Perhaps other races were "invited" to drop by, and things didn't work out so well for them when they showed up, either.

Well, I do have to say the company that chases after the ship in Serenity reminds me of the Weyland-Yutani corporation.. As for the ship itself, it does share some resemblances, namely the way the engines are shaped.

Greetings to Everyone.. Long time fan of ALIEN eversince 1979 when I first saw it on the big screen. Was the only movie that scared the crap out of me. I very much look forward to seeing this "Prequel", I feel my inner child getting excited about it and I try to keep away from a lot of the postings that might have tid bits about the plot/story/script, really ruins it for me. Bad enough that I keep going back to see the trailers, pausing it and disecting what could be happening. Shouldn't do it, but cannot help it.

I'm sure this point may have been made already, but this whole talk of mountains reminds me of the Starbeast script about the crew finding the eggs in pyramids versus inside the Derelict in Alien. IMHO, this is the perfect film to feature pyramids, so as to give the Engineers planet an interesting mystique...

@karstenphd It does look like the same kind of thing happening to one of the crew in one scene, and that crewman does not have a beard or tattoo on face and thus not Fifield. So maybe its connected, maybe for some reason that Blue Man has infected himself, or become infected with some kind of viral agent/organism? Maybe going back to the Myth of the Titans, this Blue Man is being punished, if you look at his skull he does have what looks like a burn or deep scar on his head that seem to either be withering away or the opposite and repairing itself. Its sure going to be a Mystrey, i would say that the Crew or David are not changing into the Space Jockey due to the size difference and how come there is a dead Jockey and two hanging on wall Jockey Suits in another scene.

That brings me back to what Ridley said on the commentary for Alien. In particular how he wanted the title to show what kind of advanced civilization the Xenos came from...Also, I thought about how when a sacred treasure is stolen from the land, then the land decays, which is what I think happens to this planet, causing it to become the desolate, windy planet we know as LV-426....
