I enjoy Alien Resurrection. I think Jean Pierre did a great job by making this sequel in a less serious tone and it stands on its own. I love his visuals and quirky style.  Winona Ryder being in it is also a perfect choice. it complements Ripley's character really well. I am glad Boyle turned it down lol.

I love this design of spacegodzilla and I can’t wait to see this version up against Godzilla 

Reason that I said that because I been seeing a lot from spacegodzilla with battra teaming up against Godzilla & Mortha 

I don’t mind this at all. It is about time that Godzilla in this era change his atomic breathe from blue to green and I am also excited for this next installment of Godzilla Minus One. But I am disappointed in fact that they drop the ball on Godzilla Resurgence and I wish they continued that legacy like they did in the Showna, Heisie, Millennium, & the Monsterverse Franchise. 

Never thought of that! Battra would be an awesome addition as well, and one that could easily be explained too.

I would love to see another tag team match with Godzilla & Mothra vs SpaceGodzilla & Battra.

Echo your thoughts on the Engineers! Felt like it opened up the franchise so that the Alien seemed just a small corner of this universe that contained wonders and horrors beyond what we could comprehend or endure.

With a better script maybe, but according to the Perfect Organism podcast, the script was an issue as well.

@Chris; True, it might not be hers, but it's still an android leg so perhaps WY has been sending droids to the planet for awhile, to work or to scope out what the creature is. Either way it's interesting. And yes, I honestly prefer the androids at this point too, i've said it a lot lately lol. Can't wait for Alien: Earth to expand on that lore and Thia looks great, I love Elle Fanning so no doubt she will become a favorite too!

Nice catch with the severed leg in that screenshot! Although it looks quite thick, so perhaps it's not necessarily her leg? Although you could be right, it would make sense!

I'm actually quite enthusiastic for this film, the blending of both universes, if done tastefully could really catapult both to higher highs.

Lately I've found myself liking the android characters more than any of the human characters, Bishop, David/ Walter, Andy, etc... I wonder if Thia will steal the show as well in this film.

She's torn in half, just like my beautiful Bishop. You can see her android guts hanging out, this is why we have never seen any full body images of her in the promo material. There's shots of a WY vehicle and some android legs scattered around it too, probably hers.

Dan Trachtenberg made an interesting comment about Elle's character in this article, and in my opinion it alludes to her being torn in half;

"Physically, she’s got a real thing that i’m so excited for you guys to see. But I want to let eventually some of that speak for itself."

There was also some talk of her playing two characters, twin droids, so that could be another interesting angle. 

I kinda wish the trailer and the poster hadn't spoiled so much tbh. The original articles had a shot of Elle tied up but with normal eyes, not the WY android ones like in the trailer, the fact she's an android wasn't revealed originally.

To give a little something away, I'm creating a extra scene that was never shot entirely.

Pulling all the tricks I know to make this the ultimate version of Prometheus.

As much character development shots as I can find. Except for a few that I don't like or think don't contribute to the story and the characters.

Using the original soundtrack to close some audio gaps.

I dug really deep in all of the 4 disc collectors edition blu rays. Saw what other fan editors did and build upon that.

It will be a combination of others work, perfected that and added so much of my own work.

Color graded all the shots that were still ungraded so that everything has the same feel.

For some it might be too long and boring but this is for people like me that want to spend every second possible staying in this world and story.

The engineers are my favorite part of the Alien lore. It made the world so much deeper and complexer. First the Alien franchise was just a professional B movie series. The engineer lore makes it so much more interrsting in my opinion. The creation of man connected to the xenomorphs and the engineers (space jockeys) is just perfect for me.

Thank you for your interest, I hope to finish it soon. Getting closer and closer. It might take another 2 months and then it will probably be done. I think I read about this Janus before is that possible? Did you already post about it somewhere else on this site?

Sounds amazing Magnum Opus, and as someone else who has been consumed by the Movie Prometheus, I am definitely interested. 
I too have spent much time and effort to actually writing a two part sequel to Prometheus which continues the promise of the great themes within WITHOUT harming Alien Covenant! 
I have already sent the first part, (which is titled’Janus’) to Dark Nebula and he is reading it and will give me feedback when he finishes.

the basic premise is that it takes the surviving members of Prometheus, (some have actually survived that we thought dead) and brings them into the same timeframe as Ripley8 (Without harming Alien Covenant) and climaxing in a ultimate finally that brings the series to a satisfying end. This is NOT a time travel story!

It could be interesting

All the shots look promising. I hope it will have a good plot and make the whole Alien timeline relatable and interesting. I am happy the trailer has so many views on YouTube (so far already have 22M). This is the first ALIEN TV show ever and I have been looking for it since Prometheus. 8 Hrs of bliss. That's like whole Alien 1-4 combined. I am looking for Season 2 already lol. 

Agreed, they really are dropping a lot from the series in close proximity to the last. Unless the marketing plan for this show is vastly extensive, I don't see them maintaining this momentum all the way to August. Hope they pace themselves to keep the hype alive.

Yeah, I guess they're gonna goof this release because they went with no info for almost a year then are hitting us with tons of trailers in a very small window of time. They need to pace themselves, save these for closer to the release date. The trailers are starting to have spoilers in them too.

Agreed Jonesy, this trailer really invigorated my excitement for this series. There really is no better time to be an Alien fan.

I noticed several nods to Alien 3 and Aliens in this trailer too. Very atmospheric and on brand!

awesome trailer. It is much better than I expected.

It feels unreal to have another epic Alien saga so soon. I am somewhat still in Romulus mode and I still have the Alien VR yet to finished. And there is Alien Isolation 2 in the works. Such an amazing period to experience.

Also, neat callback in this pic to Ripley 8 in Alien Resurrection, when you see her in the jail cell before Call comes in to confront her.

He also described their role in Prometheus as that of an ancient and advanced civilization, responsible for the creation of humanity. However, he did not use the exact phrase mentioned in your question.
