Halloween old school- likely the 1st survival horor game

Huh? I always thought Alone in the Dark was the first survival horror game before the genre was coined by Resident Evil

I remember ALIEN on the Atari 2600 a Game Based off the 1979 Movie...

But one of the Earliest Games i recall that fits the Survival Horror Vibe was ALIENS the Game on the ZX Spectrum.  I say this because it was one of the Earliest games i ever REMEMBER that would make you JUMP out of your SKIN!

It was a very Stressful and Frustrating Game, that had you Panicking quite a bit (well myself) as you could only move one Character at a time and yet they can all be Hunted by a Xenomorph so it was a case of checking back on each Character often to make sure they are not in TROUBLE.

The Frustration of Killing a Xenomorph in front of a Door also leads to ACID BLOOD POOL that blocks that Door and you need/use the Doors to Progress around the GAME/MAP and so Block too many Doors and well you could not complete the GAME... Frustrating!

Definitely recommended to try...

I had never completed it, or managed to come across a Queen as i was not to good at it back in the 80's i would say its Definitely Survival Horror as you not only had to keep all your Characters Alive, well try too.... but you had to make sure the Xenomorphs did-not encase the rooms with their Hives, they could do this to BLOCK DOORS cut off access to Ammunition (Amoury Rooms) which limits the already limited Ammo you have.

Also from Hive Covered Rooms you will then have to deal with Face Huggers and if the Hive Structures Covered like the Generator Room, then its LIGHTS OUT that make the Game Impossible to play lol

Somebody has Remade the ZX Spectrum Game for PC.

Aliens Game Remake LV-426

Its pretty much Faithful to the Original, has a Built in Map that makes it much easier than the Original which lacked one.
