MemberNoobNov-01-2017 3:09 PMI watch all the usual space type series; Trek varieties, Battlestar, Dark Matter, The Expanse and anything new or old which comes up. I have an episode; I believe it's an episode; which has my mind in turmoil. This particular episode has the original inventor of something along the lines of FTL, Warp, Hyperdrive getting into his craft in his own space locality. Upon pressing start he continues to speed up until he finally reaches a speed where he is unable to move his body, hands and arms, enough to reach controls to stop the engines. He then goes on to die as he constantly rushes through space at ever increasing speeds as his body becomes less able to sustain itself with the stresses put upon his body.
Does anybody know which series this is from and hopefully the episode itself so I can watch it again? I'm sure this will be easy for someone out there. Many thanks.

MemberLegendNov-01-2017 11:22 PMSounds to me like Buck Rogers (in the 25th Century). Heres the intro to the pilot TV movie and the shorter intro used thereafter...
Another possibility is the more recently produced, and subsequently canceled Farscape...
Both share a similar initial concept in which the pilots of on experimental shuttle find themselves thrust into the future/deep space and into an environment alien to them which they must then adapt and adjust to. Of course, the star of Buck Rogers was never ever Buck himself but Twiki...
Whereas Farscape fans will fondly remember Harvey...

MemberNoobNov-02-2017 4:36 PMHi Gavin,
Thanks for the effort. Unfortunately, I wasn't even thinking of the really old series. Farscape I don't watch at all so know it wasn't that. I know it has to be a fairly modern series. Post Star Trek Next Generation. It is one I've watched over the past six months which also discounts for Star Trek, Voyager and Deep Space Nine. I've been watching Star Trek Enterprise and Discovery. I've also been watching Battlestar Galactica; the reboot not original 70s. Dark Matter, The Expanse and numerous films have also been watched. I know it's nothing to do with any Star Wars. I can't remember what percentage of the episode or parts of film; it's a possibility; are centred on the initial inventor or test pilot at least of what was apparently the initial prototype of a high speed space craft. Using FTL, warp or some other variation on that theme I don't know but this programme or film is definitely made after 2000. I'd suspect far more recent but I have no idea what it was. Can't remember how this aspect was built into the episode; may have been someone reading about this inventor/test pilot or something similar at a later date with flashbacks used to show what happened. I have a feeling I'll be skipping through a heck of a lot of episodes to see if I can find it. What a memory eh.
BTW Buck Rogers female counterpart was gorgeous, and I'm not talking of Tweaky. Erin Gray who is now crazily 67 was to a pre-teen boy gorgeous. Thanks again for your help Gavin.
