MemberNoobSep-23-2017 3:39 PMI understand it doesn't need to be rated R, but it would be awesome. It should at least be PG-13. PG is going to hurt the movie i think. I'm huge fan but the closer were geting closer to the trailer release etc the more im getting pissed how they been handling this movie. I'm hoping i'm wrong. The first mistake, it should of been a prequel.2nd Tel Toro should be directing. 3rd they should wait to get Charlie Hunnam back in the movie.

AdminLegendSep-23-2017 7:56 PMIt's not PG. That's just the classification for the trailer, not the rating for the actual movie.
The rating of a movie is decided by the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) and they only submit ratings to finished films that studios believe are ready to be released in theaters. Since Pacific Rim: Uprising is not yet finished, so it's impossible for it to have a rating.

MemberConversationalistSep-24-2017 5:42 AMHow are you going to grow your franchise? Alienating young fans? Telling them they can't go and watch your/their giant monster movie and they'll have to wait till they are older!?!
I became a giant monster fan in the 70's all the movies were clean G-rated...no obstacles for me to watch them. If I have had to wait till I was older...There is no way I would have been a fan...would have thought they were corn-ball and goofy.
Same reason they keep Star Wars clean and PG. Hook the kids. Nothing to stop them. generate fans for life.
Keep killing your fanbase and you'll go the way of Vaudeville.

MemberNoobSep-24-2017 6:47 AMI totally understand what your talking about and respect all opinions, that's what it's all about. Just my opinion. I grew up on Godzilla movies, voltron, transformers, but pacific rim is a PG13 movie and I believe they were thinking the children that grew up loving it, adults would love a more realistic movie Adults and teenagers can enjoy. Im content with PG13, but I prefer a no hold back R movie. Its time to let adults be kids again, getting to see there comic heros etc on the big screen. I was so happy when they started creating adult comic movies Ironman, xmen etc, Which are all PG13 and the breakthrough movie deadpool going rated R. Kids should be watching movies like power rangers, transformers just like we had to deal with and let the adults have some fun. And let's be serious if a kid wants to see a pg-13 or r movie they are going to find a way to watch it. But enough of that, still super excited to see the new jaegers and kajus. Hopefully there are more battles and maybe get to see some old school battles Romeo blue, coyote Tango..or bring them back from the graveyard..that would be sick!!

MemberConversationalistSep-24-2017 8:12 AMWell...it's about showing the dead or imagining the dead.
Death Star killed billions. Showing floating body parts in the rubble of Alderaan IMHO wasn't needed...just gratuitous. Shot : *A headless corpse floats by the camera....A severed foot slowly rotates...*
Godzilla has killed millions. Every building it knocked over killed hundreds..smashed humans, dogs, cats, etc......I didn't need to see their smashed gory corpse.... my imagination took care of that! :-)
Don't think corporations are going down the 'floating body parts' route.
Walmart might not sell their product!

MemberNoobSep-29-2017 2:28 AMI'm sorry but some of your pointswould be very bad for me , Charlie isn't a big name, plus his schedule was the reason he wasn't able to return and I dont want to wait another 3 years after we have waited around 4 years already to get this film made.
A prequel is Almost as bad, because the first film went over all the important things thats happened, we don't need to see any more.
