AdminAtmanSep-15-2012 1:14 PMI think it's a fad that will soon come to pass. Most movie-goers don't appreciate the 3D for many reasons. The 3D glasses get annoying to wear and some people can't see 3D at all because it can give certain people seizures.
I know why they go for 3D though - more money. A 3D film charges so much more than a standard 2D. Maybe in the future when they get the "Virtual 3D" working, where you don't need glasses at all, then maybe it will have more of an impact on film enthusiasts, but right now, having to wear the glasses and pay extra it's just not worth it in my opinion.
Now, that being said, will I go see Pacific Rim in 3D? You bet I will. haha

MemberNoobSep-15-2012 6:13 PMI agree with you Chris. I hate paying those extra couple of dollars, not very worth it.

MemberNoobSep-21-2012 9:47 AMI'll likely see this film in 3D, but 3D doesn't do much for me. The technology doesn't advance the plot or the characters, so I don't think it can make or break a film--it essentially won't make this film more enjoyable to me.

MemberNoobNov-20-2012 12:52 PMI have seen the same movei in 2 and 3-d.
At first 3-d is a wow experience. If the film continues just to show off special effects than it is uninteresting,
If the 3-d is there to augment the story presentation(I am thinking of 'House of Wax' ) then I sort of like that, You really miss the effect later when 2D is your only choice.

MemberNoobNov-21-2012 3:02 PMI find 3D to be a terrible gimmick that needs to die. I always try to watch a movie in regular 2D. The stuff just get's me a headache and rarely enhances the movie in any way.
