Searching for a Movie Title

I rented a movie from Blockbuster in 2011.  It was a sci-fi alien movie.  My son & I watched it together & really liked it.  The problem is, I don't remember the title of the movie, and it is driving me crazy.  The movie had aliens that came to Earth and took over.  The aliens captured the scientists/doctors, and made them work in a lab.  There were about 3 human prisoners the movie focused on.  They were kept in a simple room together with a sliding door.  They were given 2 buckets, one with water, and the other bucket had like a pink slime (food) in it for the humans to eat.  They ate with their hands.  Also, I remember one of the male prisoners, as he was pooping, complained about the "acid burn" as he pooped.  The aliens also had an area where they mated with select female humans, who got pregnant, and had hybrid human/alien babies.  Will someone please help me with a title to this movie?  Also, at the end of the movie, it had a special feature where the producer/director talked about making he movie.  He mentioned some parts of the Bible, where it could be describing aliens, e.g. the lookers or the see'ers.  Please help.  Thx.  Ken
