I'm Having Problems Uploading a Profile Pic and Cover

Hi there,

I just joined today so I'm pretty new at how things work around here. I was working on my profile and I clicked "Change Profile Pic". I browsed for a photo, make it the right recomended size and choose it. Only I can't see where I accept it so it will change. I tried both a .png and .jpg photo.

For the cover I uploaded a photo in the correct size and it worked. Then I decided to change it. So I got a different photo in the right size and clicked the "Update" button but it didn't change. So I tried a .png which worked. Then I've come to find that because of the cover I choose no one can see my name, so again I tried to change it.

I've logged in and out multiable times but it's not working. Am I being derpy and missing the obvious or is there something wrong? Also sorry if this thread is in the wrong place >.<

Are you signed into both Scified and Jurassic world? That might be an issue. I will show this to Chris so he can help. :)

Hey there, welcome to the site! You are correct, there was a CSS styling glitch as I was editing parts of the site today. I've since fixed this problem so you can see the "UPDATE" button after selecting a new profile pic.

Hey what do ya know I'm a half derp xD.

The profile pic works now but I'm still having some problems with the cover. When I choose a completely different photo it's goes back to the very first photo I chose for my cover. The photos are all named different things.

Cover photos get renamed when they're uploaded and cached to help preserve memory on the server. Try refreshing your profile page (F5) and see if it reloads the proper image for you. That should work!

Sadly it didn't. But for now I'll keep my curret cover. I'll put my name in my BIO.

Hmmm not even after refreshing? Try CTRL+F5 for a hard refresh. that might force your cache to update.

Welcome to the forums V^{2 ,} you forgot to put people between { }, JK JK

In scified and the rest of the forums you can copy and paste any image using the keyboard ctr c and ctr v, also if you check the option FORMAT you will be able of edit your text.

Guys you won't believe it. When I go to my profile on my main computer I get the cover I uploaded. On my second computer it shows the old one. The old one is a pink anime girl with a pink and white background, the new one is the same thing but in blue and black.

How crazy is that o.O?

Lol when I hit F5 to refresh on my second computer the new cover popped up xD. As my mom would say "It's was just possessed". Now there is a new problem. I can't edit any of my post on this thread but other threds and post I can.
