Not sure if this has been mentioned, but if you look at what seems to be "historical" footage of the astronaut in the space launch and the pilot from the speed of sound flight, they both have something in common. When you slow it down, they both seem to be McConnaughey. He is traveling back in time to these key junctures in human limit accomplishments and becoming a part of them....or...he could be dreaming them.

sorry but I do not agree with you. Movie footage does not match. There is a vast difference in quality. And most of the scenes are well known. I also read some where that they were taken from NASA with permission.
