Like us on facebook here: BladeRunner 3D Release
If we can get enough likes we can get the attention of Ridley and Warner Bros.

Admin2KJan-07-2013 11:23 AMWelcome to the forum, robfilmmakerr! What a great idea thank you for bringing this to our attention! I was lucky enough to see the Director's Cut on the big screen and let me tell you it was one of the best cinematic experiences I ever had, I hope it does get re-released that would be amazing. :)

MemberNoobJan-08-2013 11:17 PMThat wouldn't be a bad idea at all. I just watched "I Robot" in 3D. Even though it wasn't a 3D release I got a bit more out of it(background detail ect..)and I find Blade Runner a more interesting film personally :)

MemberNoobJan-09-2013 11:12 AMThere is so-called 'Talk' of that going on right now, Blade Runner being converted into 3D as it would be a good viral/marketing campaign to have that film re-released in its full (now 3D) glory in tandem with the inevitable release of the new Blade Runner sequel to it which would no doubt also sport the whole 3D treatment as well.
It would serve as a great marketing campaign for the franchise and people/fans would just go NUTS over it! Just the idea alone of Blade Runner being converted into 3D sounds so damn cool that to not do it would almost be a crime as this is a film, if ever there was one, thats just crying out for the 3D conversion process. It would lend itself BEAUTIFULLY to the asthetic the film itself has already built up and you couldn't do any worse than some films that could be mentioned whos given the 3D treatment did not deter away from or hide the fact that the film was struggling anyway in conventional format because it just wasn't a good film per-se. There are a few but none come to mind to name and they are so forgettable that I can't even remember their names now anyway! But Blade Runner would be brilliant in the format!
If I find some articles online that I have come across that hint at this prospect then I will try and find them and post the relevant excerpts from them for all to read.

MemberNoobJan-18-2013 2:09 PMThis is a great idea and having checked 'like' on the FB site I decided to acquire a blue ray HD edition so I can watch it on my prized LG large screen TV which will go a long way towards viewing blade runner in a theater setting. I can't wait and sorry I cant invite you all over to watch it with me!

MemberNoobJan-31-2013 7:03 PMGood idea. There is a lot of material that could be used in the project, I bet for a Blade Runner 3D "Extended Version". Would be nice if that site could be linked to here. Is that posible?
