Dangerous Days. The title that would have been for the original Blade Runner film. Perhaps as ways of homage to that idea they could ressurrect that and tie-it-in with the proposed sequel. "Blade Runner: Dangerous Days" or "Dangerous Days: Blade Runner" Possible?

I am not sure, because from the sound of the description it sounds like Ridley may be using the actual second Novel titled: "Blade Runner 2: The Edge of Human". It even has a female protagonist like is claimed to be in the sequel.

Svanya, what novel. I only read 'Do Androids dream of electric sheep' by Phillip K Dick. Who wrote "Blade Runner 2: The Edge of Human"? I will have to look it up and must read it! If it has a female protagonist then I think you are right on the money. OK I found it on Amazon, by K.W. Jeter. How is he as a writer. I see there are 2 books that follow Phillip K Dick's Android. My guess is that he may be OK but I can't believe that someone would take up where a deceased beloved author left off. If it is not well written than he is paying PKD a disservice, but if its really good then I could tolerate it even if it is derivative. I have immense respect for original authors and their novels and it almost seems like sacrilege to rip it off an entire concept from the poor deceased Mr Dick, a bit like that weasel of a fake artist who Thierry Guetta who now calls himself Mr Brainwash or MBW for short and was featured in the Banksy film 'Exit through the gift shop'. If Jeter can write though then maybe he could shape a new script and that would not bother me in the least as that is taking the Blade runner universe into a new media like the first one did. So do let me know if Jeter's books are worth the read before I shell out the cash for them. Of course if there is a chance that RS will use one as a core for the new script then I will most certainly read it even if its a rough start. Is there a early morning scene of a gigantic combine with work lights and a dog......

I know what you mean Svanya, thought a little retro-fitting the future with hints of the past would be a neat idea. I do hope they follow the themes of the sequel books too as that would be awsome for sequel ideas! nostromo001], There have been to date as far as I am aware three tie-in sequels to Blade Runner (Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep) they are as follows: BLADE RUNNER: THE EDGE OF HUMAN BLADE RUNNER: REPLICANT NIGHT & BLADE RUNNER: EYE AND TALON all by K. W. Jeter I'm pretty certain that EYE AND TALON is the last in the series but I would hazard a guess that THE EDGE OF HUMAN follows on from (BR) DO ANDROIDS DREAM Of ELECTRIC SHEEP then followed on by REPLICANT NIGHT. One or two of them may follow in a different cronological order but I think that is how they go. I have them all and have constantly tried to read (D.A.D.O.E.S) but can never get through it all as I want to read the other three too. I have them all this time yet have never read them yet! lol! I will listen tio the audio book of (D.A.D.O.E.S) then I will read the three books as well. Hope you can find them to read too. It would be cool if they did a prequel to Blade Runner film and there use the title: DANGEROUS DAYS. If they followed the events leading up to the revolt by the Nexus 6 androids against their slave masters, the bloody mutiny that follows and the deadly aftermath as they make there way back from the depths of space back to earth to finally crash-land just off-shore from the city mainland of Los Angeles/San Angeles/Hades. They kill there way into the Tyrell corperation and eventually it would tie up the end of that film idea close in tandem with the beginning of Blade Runner film.

Thank you HyperNova !! @nostromo001, we have a "BLADERUNNER COMICS & BOOKS FORUM" with it described there. HyperNova also covered the subject pretty well. There are some that claim because there is a picture of the author and P.K Dick on the cover that it may have been a collaboration. Svanya, I have now looked into it and I guess my main and formost question is, how well is it written? I am avid reader of well written novels. I have found many good authors in both classic and even more modern work. Josef Sheritan Le Fanu, Herman Melvile, James Joice, some Hemmingway, and then modern stuff by Richard Matheson, Whitley Strieber's vampire series (The Hunger, The Last Vampire, and Lilith's Dream), and a huge number of other modern writers. But I have little patience with authors who do not know how to write well. So let me know.

PS I found a source of all three Jeter books so I could start reading them. My feeling before hand is that the first one 'The Edge of Human' may be readable but the rest probably get worse as they go along. I would be interested in anyone who has read that first novel just giving me a thumbs up or down before I invest the time reading it. And thanks Svanya, I will look up your comic and Hypernova source if I can locate them on the site.
