DK, Here is my take: At some point there were over 30 Jaegers as mentioned in the movie, and probably more than that in the Pacific Rim universe. All of them eventually lost. I was shocked to see Crimson Typhoon die so quickly, but again these were category 4 Kaiju, not 3. I think that Striker and Gypsy held on so long not solely because of their design, but due in part to their extraordinary crews. So, to answer your question, if I had to chose for over all survival, I would take Striker Eureka. Striker has the best performance of all the Jaegers before her, but in the end, I would die in her eventually as the Kaiju were getting bigger, faster, smarter, and better equipped. But if you would keep the category = to mark versions, then for Trespasser, I would want Chernov Alpha. For Karloff, and Omnibaba, Axehead, Yamarashi, Knifehead, and similar sized Kaiju, I would want Striker Eureka. For Otachi, Gypsy :) SWORD FOR THE WIN!!! For Slattern ... just slattern, I would want Striker armed with a high yield thermonuclear warhead ... just to make sure ;) Slattern + Raiju + Scunner, all hope is lost even with the nuke on board.
