Rangers, I find myself getting up ever morning and while I am going through e-mail, eating, my toast, and sipping tea, I am listening to the Pacific Rim sound track! Currently, I listen to the music posted by people on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZ9RwFiLW6U) but at times I wish I had the music while driving too and from work. Over at amazon.com, the sound track is the #1 downloaded/purchased item in the sound track category (http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/dmusic/195457011/ref=sr_bs_1). At times the phone is off, or the internet gets crazy and I can't listen to the music. Well for $10.00 I can take the music anywhere and anytime I want to listen to it! This movie was, let me be honest, the best movie of the Summer and the #1 movie in its genre (even though boxofficemojo only ranks it as #8 all time, look at the crap they throw into the list... Jurassic Park... REALLY?! - http://boxofficemojo.com/genres/chart/?id=creaturefeature.htm) ... 1998 Godizlla is ranked higher than this film ... you have got to be kidding! Good hunting Rangers! Has anyone else notice that in the movie, during the scene where Crimson Typhoon is fighting with Otachi, the score (music) in the background has some sort of chanting in the background, giving it a sort of Chinese/warrior/fighter ambience to the scene? Then seconds later when Cherno Alpha comes out... cue the awesome Russian style orchestra/choir elements in the score! The song from this song is track #13 "Double Event".

Phew, I'm not the only one. I find myself listening to the soundtrack every time I'm surfing the web, or doing homework. Easily one of my favourite soundtracks of all time. I thought I liked the soundtrack in the Harry Potter films, but I like Pacific Rim's even more!
