Pacific Rim the novel

In the novel, the Drift is mentioned to have a sort of backwash affect on the mind. Both people end up having the other person's quirks or physical traits, habits, etc The Jaeger pilots have this issue too. You end up becoming like twins that finish each other's sentences or end up in a tie in a chess match. All this due to prolonged Drifting over time.

i just read a comic 'two tales from zero year' it was very short. is there any link of the novel?
