McConaughey, though a solid actor in his own right, can´t shake himself from himself... Meaning his palet of playable characters is rather limited. Hope this works out. Hathaway,should stick to being a princess, her acting is mediocre at best. Removing her from the cast is as much of a loss as jettisoning spacegarbage. Chastain however! Can´t wait to see her shine! Flawless and emotional gripping actrice! Caine can´t go wrong neither! I think Nolan can afford not being a sellout and hire some genuine great talents instead of placing too much weight on Celeb status. (doesn´t he remember how horrible Hathaway did in his latest Batman fling! If her acting was any flatter she would´ve been invisible!)

I'm so excited to see Bill Irwin and Ellen Burstyn in this film. They're both such amazing actors, I'm really looking forward to seeing their scenes. This movie is going to be so deep, what an amazing group of actors - this story is going to live beautifully through them.

I rather agree with WestWind, I think this is going to be a great movie depending on how well the adaptation of the script is. There is only so much that talented actors/actresses can do with a bad script if the writing is off. But so far from the sneaker trailer that was released the movie looks like it might just be one to make a point of seeing in the theater.

@Akariko, you should see McConaughey in True Detective on HBO. It shows he has real depth as an actor, and as a producer as well.
