In the second article it says they want to go back to the Terminators time travelling roots and bring back Linda Hamilton and Micheal Beihn...I know this would make Linda happy.I actually met M.s Hamilton at a hotel restaurant before the Calgary Expo started(April 24-26). She sat by herself at a table in front of me...I couldn't believe it.She realized I recognized her and she's very fan friendly.
Linda never mentioned a new Terminator film but she told me she wants to bring back Beauty& The Beast. One of the writers for that show worked with Peter Jackson on LOTR and The Hobbit.
Here's two links to articles about Mr.Schwarzenneger ageeing to new Terminator films: Arnold in new Terminator film.
and this one: New Terminator film to bring back original cast members
and I couldn't resist posting this too. I had a photo op with Linda the day after I met her at breakfast....she remembered me :)

I also got to meet Micheal Beihn. He's very down to earth.

MemberLegendJun-02-2013 5:56 AMArnold has been set to return in Terminator 5, for months now! Sorry djrees56, but this is old news.
Yes the news was posted recently in an interview with Arnold Schwarzenegger himself, but no new news was made apparent at that interview.
What is known, and is unfortunately months old news at this point, is... that Megan Ellison of Annapurna Pictures, whom owns the production rights until 2018 (by which point they will revert back to James Cameron), along with her brother David whom owns Skydance Productions, have contracted Laeta Kalogridis (Avatar, Shutter Island) and Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry, My Bloody Valentine) to write the screenplay/script and that Arnold is to be incorporated in some way.
Arnolds mention of the film being prepared for him is marketing spin, it is only because he is interested that he will be incorporated - as to how much and in what way remains to be seen. As is the case with the content of the story - nothing has been confirmed. So any reports otherwise are false.
The mention of other former actors returning is nothing more than rumor and (to some fans) wishful thinking, because there has been no announcement of there possible involvement.
Also the possibility of Linda returning to Beauty and the Beast with Ron Perlman is highly unlikely with the new updated version starring Smallville's Kristin Kreuk enjoying success on the TV networks.

and yes he is saying he is going to be back for long, but since January now in the last days appeared in an interview ...
Arnold's words:
....What can you tell us about Terminator 5? We’re writing it now. There are three projects being written that involve me. One is Terminator 5, the other is a Conan movie that Universal is doing and there’s the sequel to Twins, which is called Triplets. We’ll all look quite different in that. The third triplet is Eddie Murphy, so figure that one out.

MemberNoobJun-04-2013 5:57 AMI enjoy these films, but I believe it's time they do at least some soft-reboot of it. For me, the John/Sarah Connor characters are a dead-end. In hindsight, they went as far as they could with them in T2 (I've never seen the TV series).
I didn't care for T3, & Salvation might have been better, if they focused the story completely on the cyborg character. Although, I enjoyed the CG in the last, & it was neat to see 'em do a young CG Ahhhnold, LOL. I'm hoping that the forthcoming "The Legend of Conan" is something to see, & comparable to the 1982 Conan film (in quality). I believe we'll be waiting sometime for a T5, but I agree it's quite likely he'll be back.
Looks like you had some fun in cowboyland, Dale, LOL. I would like to meet Ridley Scott, over dinner or something similar. ^_^

I don't believe Arnold's involvement is any issue ...what is one is that they write a good film this time. If I had to guess what his role might be ..maybe the person that the 101 was originally based/cloned from. If any Arnold 101s are needed, they can certainly create quite convincing CG renditions of them. I'm happy to read that the start-up for the production is in the works.
The return of Arnold for the T-franchise's 30th, is a good-move. I hope I can say the same for T5, overall.
You were right Dale, & they'll be at it far more faster than I thought. ^_^

MemberNoobJun-15-2013 11:04 AMThanks Sawa, and I agree. I think many of these franchises are realizing that they need good stories and can't rely on previous popularity of past films...and that's a really cool miniature you found :)
