AdminAtmanMay-16-2013 7:52 PMThe new trailer for [b]Pacific Rim[/b] has shed some light on more information about the [b]Kaiju[/b]. In the screenshots below, you can see that the [i]Leatherback[/i] Kaiju is able to charge an energy-based pulse weapon, similar to the atomic breathe [b]Godzilla[/b] can generate. From what we see, the Kaiju can charge the weapon and release a massive pulse of energy.

Not sure if the [b]Jaegers[/b] are able to defend much against these weapons. If the pulse is an EMP, it's possible the Kaiju could stun the Jaegers and short circuit their mechanics.

I don't have a clue what those rings of blue light do but its probably 'just' a flashy EMP. I wonder if it knocks out the power grid for the entire city?
There is a later scene where one of the pilots emerges and stares a Kaiju in the face. Maybe it was his Jaeger that got knocked out?
